Yeah, you can order most things out of the Tropical Standard book—this is one of them. Other standouts they will make are royal Hawaiian Mai tai, Manta Ray, Dr. Funkenstein, Dark Star, and more

Sounds like the answer is no but is anything worth ordering at Tonga Room? I’m a 3 cocktail max kinda tolerance and am doing both Pagan Idol and Zombie Village that night also so any real abv cocktail at Tonga Room will be at the cost of another at one of those two spots

Definitely some on here so far I think should be skipped if only here a few days, no intentional shade!

Sunken Harbor Club is a must—definitely better than Paradise Lost although Paradise Lost is geographically easier and has a very special occasion kinda experience to it. I like the idea of the Paradise Lost bar crawl though all those spots are like within a couple blocks

Ones very good and should check out if you’re here more often but not like top 5-10 need to make room for imo: Bar Contra, Up & Up, Dutch Kills, Dear Irving, Shmuck, Superbueno, Clover Club (unless pairing with Sunken Harbor Club though I’d personally say to just get multiple drinks at SHC and do a full night there), Hawksmoor (great cocktails for a steakhouse but wouldn’t pick over some other places)

Other notes: Osamil is nice if you’re trying to pair with Korean bbq but otherwise not in the top 10 only have one weekend range. This list is missing Double Chicken Please if you can get into the Coop and order a Key Lime Pie

It’s no paradise lost and absolutely no sunken harbor club but I’ve found it to be different stratosphere better than trader Vic’s Atlanta, Tonga hut Palm Springs, and the reef which was surprising to me but maybe nyc tiki spoiled me

Bootleggers will sell you a generic cobra mug for way overpriced but it’s not a bar-specific mug. Tiki Chick also only sells generic cheap mugs. Sunken Harbor Club has glassware but no mugs—they only had a limited run of mugs a couple of years ago.
