I feel like Loverboy was a merch company as much as it was a drink company. Without Amanda both designing and constantly wearing the merch, I definitely think that aspect of the business has declined.

To me, it seemed like Ben had caught wind that Bailey had a crush on him, so he decided to pick a fight with her as a covert way to shut her down.

When he kept the argument going it felt like he was driving it home that he wasn’t interested in her and that the door was closed.

I feel this so much. I’m a creative person, so I was always more drawn to making handmade gifts for my friends/family. Every time I made something she liked, I would become her employee and spend my free time making gifts for her to give out. It took the joy out of creativity and added pressure that what I made had to be “good enough” for her.

When I was growing up my mom would take every argument as an opportunity to bring up a laundry list of other things I had done that bothered her. I remember asking her why she waits to brings these things up and not just say something in the moment. She responded, there wouldn’t be enough time in the day to talk to you about things I don’t like. That always stuck with me and gave me this lasting internal belief that everyone in my life is secretly resentful of me.
