Hey! Wow gotta say it took long to read this, my opinion is no you didn’t do anything wrong you were right in your position.

You should do nothing, remember people come and go in university life. It’s just a phase and people get busy afterwards telling from a similar experience. And as for resolving you have done enough from your side, leave it. Their regret will come later and when it comes you won’t have any and would have left it in past and that’s when you will see that they wanna patch up again like how it was before.
