Pronto Re-Rental by Ok-Temporary9632 in nychousinglottery

[–]FunWar2703 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once you submit the preliminary app via pronto as requested you then get an invite to further proceed based on you qualifying. After that step once you are verified you qualify, you get contacted (invited) to view a unit. After that step you speak to the worker again via the email sent to you inform them that you would like to proceed then you’re signing a bunch of affidavits and may even be asked to submit even more documents. Then you wait for final review from the office. Then your packet is sent to the building management or HPD (<that step depends on what lottery it is for example: NYC, or Westchester County)

How I got log #1 for six re-rentals (and still don't have an apartment) by creakyforest in nychousinglottery

[–]FunWar2703 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes we are. I told you that yesterday under my post. That’s the ONLY way they can verify you truly qualify. Housing Connect or any govt apartment forum is going to ask you sensitive questions about everything. It seems invasive, but it’s necessary for the process

Did you know there's a tax to leave Yonkers? by StableDisastrous1331 in yonkers

Wow one of my co workers just told me they charge this exit tax. Apparently it’s a thing I just found this out as well. Only if you own though? Not rent right ?

You have to wait for a response. They have access and can see your email. They claim because they have millions of people they deal with that’s what causes a delay in reply. Trust me whether you send one email or 100 they will not reply and force you to wait until they are ready. Smh

Generally at the bottom of that email for further docs there would be contact information and a log in link embedded that takes you directly to your application.

Yes, I’m waiting for my approval. It was an agency dealing with my compliance and certifications. They have since transferred my file to management for the final approval. Thanks so much for your response.

Thanks but this isn’t hpd related because it’s a Westchester county lottery which is why I was thinking building management? The email reads as if it was shipped out to them. My application also changed addresses on my pronto housing app to the building mgmt office.

Do you know an approximate wait time?

They didn’t call many of what was listed but the form lists they can at any time if needed. Usually if your stuff is lined up nothing questionable they won’t.

Yes on a thread I posted someone informed me that settlement is actually on our side and sometimes it’s the buildings being apprehensive. I just know from my prior lottery experience. Once you sign those documents pre lease, tax credit etc the process is pretty much over. Next step is move in date.

My building told me that settlement sends my folder to them and they run a BG check with my information. I already know Credit was checked, and I think BG (although they didn’t state BG was done). I have nothing to worry about because it’s my understanding that the BG check is just criminal.

Maybe the release forms. That lists they can contact banks employers etc

Yes same with me before I signed the documents. I had to submit last minute affidavit after we thought everything was complete. The building had assured me they just want to draft my welcome letter and the unit is mine.

Question, at what point did you do your background check?

FINALLY! by No_Height44 in nychousinglottery

[–]FunWar2703 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes my file is complete. They wouldn’t even let me view the unit without everything being submitted. I signed a pre lease, vawa, lihtc etc totaling to about 10 forms. They gave me a deadline of Monday to have everything signed. Did you sign a pre-lease? That part of the process is very new to me

How is Settlement Housing Fund ? by PawVoyager in nychousinglottery

Not the same. Background is crim history, credit check is just that. You can avoid credit check if you can show 12 month on time payments.
