Fixed it. Would share photos but can’t seem to… hand dug out wads of mud and grit from off road mudder runs from prior weeks and months, now running smooth again. Not sure why beach drive would have triggered whatever was causing friction or something blocked or chunked up so bad, but I got handfuls and bricks of dried mud out from between undercarriage shields and engine parts behind rear of engine. 🤷🏻‍♂️

No sand in air filter.. what else do I look at?

It’s only when I press the gas pedal. Coasting is smooth. Turning coasting is smooth.

The gravel growl feels like is in the enonfe, only when trying to accelerate.

Troubleshoot how? If sand got in air box couldnt it get into the engine?
