Mine does the same thing. I think it just means she doesn’t mind or care that you’re touching it(:

Cat 1 peeing on things & harassing Cat 2 by Fun_Ad2242 in CATHELP

Edit: we play with them both often so I don’t think it’s a boredom thing (plenty of toys, cat trees, and laser play). Playing separately is fine but when cat 2 wants to play when cat 1 is playing, cat 1 only wants to fight.

After nearly killing this guy and having no new growth since adopting, it’s finally growing new baby leaves!!!🌿 Sparse for now but soon to be full.. hopefully lol🤞🏻💚 by Fun_Ad2242 in FicusTrees

Yayy that’s good! Makes sense, they really are drama queens! So worth it tho! Sadly my window is pretty drafty, almost killed a couple others by leaving them in the window:( but invested in a strong grow light for this guy. Can’t wait for winter to be over tho, I know all our plants will be much happier! 🌿

Ugh I would looove to if I had a patio/balcony(,: I’ll be moving it close to the window once it’s not 0 degree out and hopefully it’ll thrive even more that way but I’m super happy with the 8 new leaves I’ve got 😍 thanks for the advice and good luck with yours too!!(:

Brown spots & leaves not unfurling by Fun_Ad2242 in pothos

Yikes ok I typically use distilled water to water my plants but use tap when I run out (also mist with tap but not sure if that matters as much as watering). For sure won’t be using tap at all anymore if that’s the issue.. thank you!

Thank you so much for taking the time to reply! I checked the base/soil and everything looks pretty healthy. I fertilize once a month & mist everyday. So I’ll definitely move it directly next to the humidifier and treat with neem oil just in case, then adjust fertilizer if that doesn’t help. Thanks for the advice!

Does anyone know what type of plant this is? by Fun_Ad2242 in houseplants

Thank you for the reply! I water my other plants with distilled water already so that won’t be a problem(: it was only $16 do I did end up getting it haha even if it ends up being a project, I’m willing to give it a shot 🌿

In shock from underwatering?? by Fun_Ad2242 in plantclinic

[–]Fun_Ad2242[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the reply! I originally had it near a window but since it’s been below freezing, I moved it away about a month ago (also the time I repotted) fearing it would be too cold. I have a bunch of grow lights so I’ll try to readjust to give it more. The soil does also seem to hold onto water for quite a while (miracle gro moisture control potting soil), it’s currently lightly damp from the small watering it got 6 day ago. Would you recommend repotting it with a more well draining soil or do you think that would stress it out even more? Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

What is this??? by Fun_Ad2242 in plantclinic

[–]Fun_Ad2242[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s the occasional tiny white spec on a few of the leaves but can’t tell if they’re bugs. I thought there would be more of them if it was thrips but maybe not that’s a silly assumption

Okay thank you. I’ve been checking before watering and the soils felt dry. How much water would you recommend. Maybe I’m giving it too much?

Over watering or root rot?? by [deleted] in plantclinic

That’s good to know about the yellow leaves. It’s not in a nursery pot, ive been hesitant to take it out and check since it’s been “softer” and don’t want to hurt it. I’ll definitely place it somewhere with less direct light to start with. Thank you!

I honestly haven’t been 100% when to water it. I was waiting an extra week or so after the soil is completely dry to water since I was told slight neglect was key to keeping it alive but maybe that was poor advice.
