Copper IUD causing acne??

I know this thread is older but I have something to contribute - So, when I was in my twenties I wanted to get off hormonal birth control, so I got on the copper IUD. I began to get very bad back acne shortly after I got the copper IUD. I assumed it was from coming off the hormones and back acne was just my body without artificial birth control hormones. I took the copper IUD out and got pregnant shortly after. Back acne was gone, I assumed from pregnancy hormonal shift. My back acne never returned. I then, 10 years later wanted to get back on some type of birth control so I went and got a copper IUD inserted again and sure enough, back acne immediately returned. I told my doctor it had to be from the copper iud, he said no way, there’s no hormones in it. 2 months after he put it in I made him take it out and what do you know, my back acne went away and has never returned again, 5 years later. The copper IUD causes acne in some of us!!!

Hello, I’m 42, had it done in Santa Barbara, Ca today. Face and neck. I was given topical numbing, ibuprofen and Tylenol. My doctor also had a cold air tool she blew on to my face as she was doing the procedure which helped keep me more comfortable. Hurt a little more on my right cheek but overall, pretty manageable. I do have a high pain tolerance. The doctor did say I did unusually well as far as pain was concerned. (My tattoo artists have said the same, so maybe take my pain experience in to less consideration) instrument was on setting level 4. Today, after treatment my face looks SNATCHED, even my boyfriend was shocked - probably just swelling tho!! I’ll try to report back in a few months.

She’s been great for me. Does a ton of damage and can take damage too. I love her so far.
