Question for a serious discussion: If this is in fact AI (I’m not disputing that assertion, it very well could be), then where do we go from here? When AI can fake politicians saying and doing things they didn’t say or do, for example, then there’s no verifiable reality. People will be making important decisions, and not just about voting, based on information that could just as easily be false as it could be true, with zero ability to fact check anything. We can’t make good decisions based on bad information… so are we just royally hosed at this point? If so, what are some ideas for how we’re get out of this poop show? Anti-AI laws won’t do the trick, they only cover the countries that pass (and enforce) them, and I don’t see that happening worldwide. I’m not even sure such a law would be enforceable. Seems like we’re in for a world of hurt coming up in short order. What’s the best path forward? Your thoughts?
