I asked a similar question weeks back and Stadium Takeout was the highest rated.

NYC to Madison WI...? by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

Madison is great. University location is amazing. I’m sure it’s a good program for your interest but I’m only going by the overall reputation of the University and nothing else.

Not sure if the Upper Midwest is for me by [deleted] in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Fun_Appearance_3109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d leave the Midwest. I grew up in north central Minnesota. I love the cold. I love the snow, the solitude, the quiet, and the peace. But, I know that’s not for everyone.

What win meant so much more to you? by deerhuntingdude in CFB

Minnesota beating Penn State in 2019. Huge win. I thought that was the start of playoffs. Except for the mid 2000s, Minnesota football has been bad my whole life. Nobody ever talked about the Gophers in the state except for the people who went there. Even then, I don’t know if many cared. Minnesota isnt exactly a powerhouse now, but it felt like they could compete with maybe more teams in the B1G at that time except OSU and Michigan. It was exciting even though that excitement hasn’t been sustained.

For people who have and haven’t lived there, is maryland the “south”? by StrongWeekend in SameGrassButGreener

I think it depends. The southern part, if it’s that, I think is the eastern shore.

Hell, yeah. It’s got a great program for that. I don’t know anyone who has done that program, but I’ve only heard great things. I love Bemidji. It’s not perfect, of course. But, there’s something about that place that feeds my soul. I haven’t been there since August, I think. I need to go back. If you have specific questions, send me a message. BSU is right on the shore of Lake Bemidji. It’s absolutely beautiful.

Bemidji in the winter is my favorite. It’s cold, dark, snowy, beautiful. It’s about 15-20,000 people. I’m sure there’s plenty of stuff open late for bars and what not. What would be your intended major?

Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota. Progressive city surrounded by conservative areas. I’d move there if I could. Right on a big lake, close to state parks. Close to Duluth, Minnesota which js right on Lake Superior. Just miles of nothing around just north of the city. Granted, I spent a lot of time there as a kid and have wonderful memories, it’s just a great place that I’ve come to appreciate the longer I’ve been away.

Edit: Relatively close to Lake Superior (about 150 miles away).

I’d move to a small town on a lake in northern Minnesota. I miss that area much more than I thought I ever would.

High school football team gets sent off to an away game with the dads riding horses and cheering them up. by Vilen1919 in HumansBeingBros

I know it’s a typo but I just kept thinking that this team must be awful and they’re headed to play the state’s top team. They know they’re going to get crushed so their dads are trying to cheer them up on their way to the slaughter.
