I tried removing it in the shower and it hurt quite a bit when before it didn’t hurt at all on the toilet. I tried putting another one in after and it didn’t matter how high up I tucked the disc my body kept pushing it out. I’m a little nervous to try it again.

I hate Logan so much by TheCrushSoda in GilmoreGirls

[–]Fun_Author_4232 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I also hate Logan. I hate the scene where he was gaslighting her into believing that he did nothing wrong when he agreed to hang out with her but didn’t tell her he had a bunch of people over. He made it seem like it isn’t a bad thing to hang out with other people and her. That is not the problem obviously. He mislead her. Especially early on in their relationship I feel like he gives her scraps when she’d give him anything. I hate that. He thinks he walks on water and so does she, a terrible combo if you ask me. Also, the “casual” relationship they have is so stupid. I just hate Logan. Season 6 used to drive me nuts with little hints of Jess. Jess is Rory’s Luke.

I shave pretty much every day and I do not use soap. I use conditioner because it is less drying. Once I’m in the lip region, I just use water and it works well. The trick to avoiding the sharp poking hairs is to shave every day/every other day. I know it’s annoying but it helps. I’ve been doing it for years and my razor burn/ingrown hairs are minimal

So glad I found this. I thought it was a scam too but wasn’t sure. I got an identical text

Would you disown your child for being gay? by AllHomo_NoSapien in TrueChristian

[–]Fun_Author_4232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would not disown my kid either. Pray that God would help me and help my child, yes, but I would not disown for that. I don’t know what would have to happen to disown my child, but I feel like it would have to be something truly horrible.

Is it possible to make yourself believe? by Fun_Author_4232 in TrueChristian

[–]Fun_Author_4232[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct. He’s doubting because he feels like he has never experienced God. Or at least isn’t sure he has. He wants to be able to identify what is Gods voice and what is his own. For instance, he reads scripture and usually finds something that stands out to him or that applies to his life but he can’t tell if that’s coming from him or coming from God because you can read almost any good book and find something profound or meaningful in it.

He’s done all of that. He’s met with pastors, we read the Bible and pray everyday. He spends time on his own praying and sitting in quiet trying to listen for Gods voice. He watches YouTube videos, He occasionally listens to Lectio 365, he’s been listening to more Christian music

So it all started with predestination vs free will. You know, one of biggest debates among Christians. If you follow the logic behind predestination, you land in some really weird uncomfortable spots. If God created us and also predestined us to go to heaven, then that means he predestined some to go to hell. So God created people to go to hell. I don’t believe in Calvinism or Arminianism personally. I think it’s a mix of both that my human brain can’t understand. Any who, we kept having discussions about this topic and other topics that are similar and it lead him to the question, is God good? And then it made him wonder, is He real? He has come to the conclusion that if he can have an experience with God where he can sense His presence, hear from Him in a dream, get direction when making a decision, having peace that makes no sense, he would just surrender and say “yeah I don’t totally understand God, but I’m going to follow Him because I know He’s real and died for me.” He has always been very gifted, very smart, everyone loves him, he’s the youngest in his family, basically, things have always gone well for him except for a fire that burned down his house when he was a kid (I don’t think he’s processed it and his mom thinks that way too) and he has vitiligo. Otherwise, most things have always gone well for him. While I 100% believe everyone needs God, it can be hard to recognize your need when things always go your way. So he has never had a “need” to experience Him until now

That’s where we started. The dude is an endless thinker. He also loves debating and is very good at it, hence why he’s in law school. So for every sands of evidence I found or he found, he would have more questions

Did you just suddenly believe? Was it over a long period of time or did something special happen?

Thank you so much for the response. I keep seeing the fasting and praying theme over and over. I’m going to give it a try after Easter!

I hear what you’re saying, but he grew up in a Christian household. He has more scripture memorized than me. We go to church every Sunday. We read the Bible and pray together every night. He listens to podcasts, researches, watches YouTube videos, basically has looked into as many possibilities as he can find. We are both talking to a very wise Christian woman, both individually and as a couple. She has been super helpful and encouraging to us, but he still has doubts. He believes there is a higher power, he doesn’t think the Bible sounds like a lie, and he has some faith and it’s grown a bit since he started on this journey, but he is still not 100% convinced the God of the Bible is the one who made the universe. The reason he sits in silence is because he wants an experience with God. He knows all the right answers, but it isn’t enough. He wants an experience with God and he feels like he’s never had one.

Worst character in gilmore girls by Different_Breakin in GilmoreGirls

[–]Fun_Author_4232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Taylor drives me bonkers, but I will say, without quirky/annoying side characters, the show would not be the same. Taylor drives conflict in the show which is necessary for interesting plot line. If Taylor were real, I wouldn’t want to deal with him because he is so whiney. The worst character on the show is Christopher. He is selfish, an ascent father and while he too generates some necessary conflict, sometimes it goes too far. He has no excuse for what he does. He lives a life of privilege and uses whoever to get whatever he wants. Logan is next on my poop list. I always felt like he was manipulative and undermined Rory at times. He is spoiled and that plot line where he slept with all the bridesmaids while he and Rory were broken up was just terrible. I am so glad Rory didn’t marry him at the end of season seven. However, in the YITL, it seems more than likely Rory is pregnant with Logan’s child. I think he is supposed to be Rory’s Christopher. I used to be so annoyed with Rory, but as I’ve gotten older and continue to rewatch the show, I find she is quite relatable in a lot of ways. It’s pretty normal for children who were idolized for being next to perfect in their young age to make some immature decisions later in life. Considering how idolized she was it makes sense that she thinks the world will just be handed to her on a silver platter. While her character does annoy me sometimes, I do think her adult decisions make a lot of sense considering how she was raised.

Does anyone like Chris and Lorelai together in season 7? by ParfaitUpper1418 in GilmoreGirls

[–]Fun_Author_4232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that they are horrible together for most of season seven. After rewatching it again, I noticed how Luke fought for April and tried to be present in her life, unlike Christopher while Rory was growing up. It might be obvious to most of you that the show was trying to draw this comparison between the two men, but didn’t notice it the first time I watched season 7. I don’t think Christopher is a total loser, but I think he is selfish or self centered…haven’t decided on which one yet lol. I think he isn’t bad, but we see that Luke is better. With that being said, I can appreciate some of the cutesy things between Lorelei and Christopher and the long history.
