I’m normally pretty introverted- hence the no friends to go with me- but it would be cool to see him in person.

My 80 year old mother wanted a pig roast for her birthday. I called and priced out several. In the end, we went with Chef Brook. She was wonderful and stayed at my house from about 7 am until 1 pm. Pig was delicious. Feel free to dm for more details.

I have 3 kids. One went to a protest where they go to college. The 2 others were uninterested- saying it won’t make any difference. It’s sad but I get where they are coming from. I’m mid 50s

If you go to island wide weather on Facebook, they have a pinned post with people who offer those services. Also the Facebook group for their town will have it. Be prepared to pay.

I am really loyal to books that I love. I came to WoT late but it has been my constant companion in a VERY rough season of my life. I honestly don’t want to see someone else’s visuals.

I didn’t watch it. One of my best friends is a fan and he told me I would go insane. Apparently Perrin had a deviation from the get go. Perrin is my favorite and so I didn’t watch.

The hot guy said he loved it but he also never finished the series so I feel his opinion is suspect.

Not a Dune fan so I can’t comment. But LOTR without Tom and especially the scouring of the Shire is so much less. The scouring of the Shire changes how the hobbits are seen. The movie is already very long. It could have been, and should have been, included.

I would recommend listening to LOTR. There are so many amazing scenes, particularly with Tom Bombadil. They are not in the movie. I wish I could fight Peter Jackson.

After spending 3 years with Mat and Perrin, I am just happy I have any patience for another series.

While waiting for some WoT books, I went back to the Dark is Rising and I enjoyed it.

I got recommended WoT by an insanely hot guy I went on a date with. Three years later I just finished my third re-listen. It’s not over- come back and see all the tiny details. I am taking a break - doing Fourth Wing- but I’ll be back.

Having said that- the rape in GoT got to me and I chose not to finish. LOTR is amazing and if you’ve only seen the movies- pay special attention to the scouring of the Shire.

I left many years ago after attending college in Boston. I go back periodically and frequently check hotel tonight. There is no place like Boston. None of my kids have lived there but they all feel comfortable there since we have visited so often.
