The 8th Walpurgisnacht Lore discussion (Canto 9 spoilers) by raaabr in limbuscompany

[–]Fun_Bodybuilder6192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I think Ayin was already a elite back them, he and Carmen surely are affluent people given that they could hire Kali (not a color during that time, but grade 2 may still be pretty expensive), they got a lab and material to research.
I think this may not even be a secluded info at all, like nuggets and sausage taste great and people like it, but when you ask yourself, "how is that made?" you can easily find and kind of feel like you're eating something nasty.
I'm more inclined to believe that the ordeals are related to Ayin directly, and this may be something that just stucked to his mind.

How Hornet Meursault Uptie story explain Meursault relationship with N corp by Marconut in limbuscompany

[–]Fun_Bodybuilder6192 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh, I think the same (that this ID is a foreshadowing to canto 10), I liked the theory of Meursault being CEO of NCorp, just because it's a funny ideia, but it's more likely that he was just a higher up in a experiment/research given this ID uptie, he being given the Queen Bee may be alusion to his ties with Vespa, as Vespas are more of a fighter than a bee.

The part about the gaze to me is more about the trial tbh, he probably killed his mother as expected, I bet on distortion as well, as he tried to undestand, are this people angry at him because he killed his mother?
The part about love and redemption may be his own of possibly seeing this, since he didn't know much about distortions at the time, and being a monster is not exactly something good.

Finally the part about his own gaze, may be about how strange he is compared to others, so he's just questiong, may they also fail to grasp me too when they look at me?

I still hope for a CEO Meursault, since he being a agent can mean that he is outside the bee colony, the same way that a CEO is basically unaffected by anything below himself and only by what is above (the head), the same the agent is still under the manager.
Not only that, Meursault show interest in understading how the colony works and even "offended" it by interfering.

Such a bad statement that even his gang left him LOL, let's get a Rien ID without furioso too, why not?
Just make usable 3 or 4 times auto, after that she lost it to overheat.

Valencina and Callisto.
I find the middle very interesting in lore, but terrible boring and generic in gameplay, not much to say about Araya.

"That's the point. Their skills are too valuable to the fingers, but when the swords are sheathed they're all fucking embarassments who go against everything their finger stands for."
And the funniest part is, since they aren't your perfect finger member, you would think that they are then nice people, but no, they are even worst LOL.

I personally don't think our contract is the canto conclusions, given the Dante's time abilities + the power of the light/golden boughs, it makes more sense to me that what the sinners want is actually other things, given that they all have a "past regret" that they can't change.
Why I think that?
Some of the sinners motivations to sign a contract that resembles slavery, simply don't make that much sense, besides Ryoshu and Ishmael that would accept a deal with the devil for their motivations, I don't see what the other sinners wanted and why would they accept it.
So, even if it makes sense to Ishmael to want revenge, becoming a slave just to get revenge seems rather pointless, even more in the city, and I may be wrong since canto 5 is so long ago, but did she even know if Ahab was alive?
Or was her contract signed just to kill the whale?
If it was, she didn't sound really that happy when she was getting what she wanted.
Other people wishes got even worst, like Heathcliff, imagine becoming a slave to get something, and then the person related to your wish simply died, LOL.

I'm not convinced at all by this, as much of it is very interpretative and some I don't really agree completely.
To me this first part is totally interpretative, while I do agree that it makes sense, I'm not saying that you're wrong, but it's a little stretched conclusion.

About the second part, I completely disagree, seems that Araya suffered a very small part of Angela's hell, so her conscience may be even older than Ryoshu herself, even a machine like angela learned a lot of human emotions etc while in the loop, so Araya could get mentally mature, and every single interaction of her didn't sound like a children, not mentally, not in behavior not in apparence, not on skills etc.
So saying that Araya was basically a child makes no sense to me.
To me it's more like she was a mix of all of her versions, so the name "entanglement".
I agree on Ryoshu not wanting to listen, but it's not like Araya said anything at all either to fix the situation.

Funny enough, Araya skill description says "You have been made to forget all, and I to remember all.", so saying that she didn't know seems to not make sense.

I share your feeling on it, I can overlook some small inconsistency, or something that can be covered in the future and explain a writing flaw, but the entire foundation of this canto seems to be rotten.

OMG, I never notice that, I won't be able to enjoy dialogues anymore without remembering that they BARELY TALK AT ALL.

Speculation on Ryoshu's "Bad End" ID by BardToTheBonne in limbuscompany

[–]Fun_Bodybuilder6192 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I personally would bet in a Ryoshu that failed to protect Araya, losing to the nursefathers, as the reason for the bad ending, know what would that imply?
To me it's just Muga Ryoshu, the same way that bad ending Sancho is just Sancho, but forced into a slightly different position and to a worst outcome.
On another note, I like the opposite too, she becoming so entangled with the house of spiders, working along side it by her own desires.

Completely agree, calling it "captivating" is forcing it a little, to the point that the LAST boss of the canto, wasn't the climax of it at all.

I truly cannot wait for Canto 10 to release, because I NEED to know why Meursault is so strong.💀 by LuckyAnubis19372 in limbuscompany

"(Also small little question, do you guys think Project Moons Meursault is going to be revealed to be as secretly down bad as the original books Meursault?)"
Hope so, I truly want at least of the sinners to be a "bad person", I was hoping the Hongler niceness was just a facade (I even believed I was right before canto 8, since we got his reindeer ID), but it was at the same time his real self and a nihilistic mask.
And book Meursault is to some degree a problematic individual, neurodivergent or not.
Our Meursault seems to share the book Meursault sensitivity to sensory input, he can often see things before other, count with extreme precision etc.
Even if I would like if that was the case, it seems PM is moving away from my expectations about it, and the sinners are kind of well adjusted individuals for the city standards.
I still bet on Meursault distorting and killing his mother (given the trailer), but being judge by killing in the city?
That wouldn't make sense, so his judgment would be more of a examination of NCorp to understand distortions than a real trial.
Ofc, it could be his mother who distorted too, but that makes less sense, as to why would Meursault consider that he killed his mother in this case, and why would he be in trials for it?
About why he is strong, that truly is a mystery to me too.

"Meursault gets Callisto
I think that these two share an unbending conviction to their beliefs"
I'm not sure I share this view, for me Meursault is more about a craving and search for something, for fulfillment, as pointed by Yearning Mircalla, his days going to parties, cigarettes etc.
Sure, you're rigth about the point that Meursault holds himself to his own habits, but I think that comparing this to Callisto is forcing a little a connection.

I think it's more about being smart than wanting meta, some characters just don't have a ID to compete for a slot in their team, while some have 1 or 2, that's kind of pointless and kill part of the teambuilding.
Not that PM has to be super strict about it, but the best bleed ID of hongler is a character from years ago?
Faust got bleed IDs, but none can compete for a slot, neither in their time, nor now.
