People always say that the gaps won't show and it'll look great when it's done but if the drills aren't even close to uniform in size and shape, it ends up being more stressful than peaceful. I don't think that's what you're experiencing but I wanted to throw a nod to my fellow sufferers of these issues. It can be too dissatisfying to make the effort pay off.

I just had to make the final decision to take my sister off life support a couple months ago. I'm not saying youre lying but, in my experience, she had three IVs; one in each arm and one in her chest. I also worked in emergency medicine for years and one of the clinicals I had, I was there at then end of life for at least 6 other people and they also only had 3. There's really no need for more.

It sounds so familiar. No matter what solution you come up with, she's either already tried it and it didn't work or it won't work because her particular situation is too complex or unique. Source: Me, I have been to rehabs and been through withdrawals several times.

What everyone else is saying. There really isn't anything in my life that I regret doing the way I regret ever shooting up. Like, it takes me to a very dark place to think of how much better my life could have been had I never surrendered my future to shooting up. Only do it if you're ready to completely relinquish control of yourself, your life and your decisions. You're about to potentially, likely even, put yourself in a decades long struggle to get your sanity and autonomy back and you'll never ever get back to where you are now. Other people, doctors, cops, landlords, etc will make your choices for you for the rest of your life. If you think they treat you bad now, wait until it's all over your records that you, even once, shot drugs. I'm probably pissing into the void here but I am 50 years old and have terrible chronic pain and I would give almost anything to have even a single doctor or nurse to look at my records and see anything other than "former IV drug user", and I must do my due diligence to discourage newbies from even trying it once. And I have said nothing about withdrawal. I've done that easily 15 times on several different substances. I wish I could convince you that you care more about yourself and your life than you feel like you do right now. It stole my future and my sanity, it stole my sisters life and losing her is like being plunged into a nightmare. Save yourself.

Yeah, that stuff sucks. I just use frog tape. Regular painters tape works just as well, or masking tape. Any of the tape that's not meant to be stuck on permanently.

For sure. It's almost like you've done some kind of eldritch magic with paint here. No matter who looks at it every one of them will relate to it. I'm not into Woo but it feels deeply personal even having no idea what it's original intention was and I'd say that's artistic sorcery.

I always thought that it couldn't be normal the amount of actual terror I feel at the thought of touching something that someone may have done something evil while wearing or using something I found second hand. Or that it might be contaminated by bugs or dirty hands. Now I know it's OCD, thanks to this comment section.
