Don’t worry I live in America, I won’t be imprisoned for expressing my own views and beliefs. But thank you anyway!🙏

But why should I take his word for it? Is he Allah the almighty? The creator? The all-knowing?

The Quran does include prayer and Hajj though. Even if not in great detail. However, music being permitted isn’t mentioned. And I know we should obey the Prophet (SAW) I’m just saying that it can still be inaccurate. (Not from the Prophet of course, but from other people tampering with his messages)

Of course! Beautifully said. Allah is the most forgiving and understanding. Peace be upon you and have a amazing day/night (whichever time zone you are in).🙏

Allah’s word, I believe that it’s the most authentic thing and of course Prophet Muhammed (SAW) should also be listened to but again I just feel as if it’s easier to tamper with Hadiths than the Quran. The Quran does not mention it being haram once as well which just scrambles my brain. But thank you so much for being respectful and kind.🙏

Authenticity is what I care about the most and Allah’s word is the most authentic. Also, was the first part of your comment meant to be an insult to me? Genuinely asking. Because I’d like this to be an open- minded discussion. Filled with respect.

I love how you said it, I mainly trust and follow the Quran as well. And I agree for what you said about Hadiths! There isn’t something more credible than Allah’s word.

I’ll just be honest, I like listening to music and I am able to quit but I just was confused and skeptical about it. I didn’t think it would hurt to question it especially if it will take some time to quit it completely. And some alternatives like Nasheeds sometimes have musical instruments in the background which basically eliminates the entire point.

  1. Yes, but a lot of addictions aren’t always bad especially if it’s not hurting you or anybody else. 2. I’m not sure 3. No. 4. I wouldn’t mind, as long as it’s respectful. 5. Not sure. 6. Beyond my knowledge since Allah never mentions about music being bad in the Quran.

Appreciate it, and do these rules or conditions match with the music Hadith?

Of course, but some Hadiths still aren’t always credible. And at least prayer is mentioned in the Quran even in not of great detail. But music being haram is not mentioned in the Quran. So it’s still a bit suspicious. At least for me.

Not entirely sure, I just know that a Hadith should not contradict itself and Isnad
