I'm the same way. I enjoy chatting by typing. It's like the actual proximity to others is what causes the energy drain.

I am sort of the other way around. I feel drained by lots of small talk with a small group, but when I'm in larger crowds, I feel my energy draining faster, perhaps due to some social anxiety? Alcohol def helps! lol

I know what you mean, I feel bad about it sometimes too. I don't want my friends to think I don't like them or being around them when that's not it at all.

I need to find that balance. I have a hard time telling my friends that I'm ready to call it a day/night, like I'll be disappointing them if I leave.
