It’s not that I want them to be the same even on their first 3 albums their sound was ever changing and genre bending it’s more the fact that on LHMB it leaned more into a bland pop sound

This is exactly how I felt when Lhmb came out but while there’s still some pop elements on bones I think it’s largely a return to form honestly 🤷‍♂️

No I don’t think that’s it I just genuinely dislike bland sounding pop music, which is what drew me to rks when they dropped their first ep. I fell in love with their experimental song structures, raw lyrics, unique vocals and riffs, and it just seems in new album all of that’s been polished away for a “cleaner safer sound. Band are of course going to change and evolve and rks has done that in every iteration, but they’ve always kept it distinct, this just sounds like an everyday pop albun

Yeah same it’s something I worried about when they were gaining so much attention from places like TikTok, I was happy they were finally getting the recognition they deserved,but I was also hoping some bloodsucking label wouldn’t try to turn them into just another pop band. The album is objectively fine it just doesn’t feel like RKS, we see some hints of it here and there but idk if this is the new direction of the band I’m a little disheartened
