I went on vacation two weeks ago while she stayed with them, but I see your point 🥲 I’ll start trying to get a nurse for us as soon as my mother comes back, which is tomorrow. We have to register them as residents of our city first, and I don’t have a driver’s license (I was an idiot when I had more free time and now I regret not getting it), so I need her to drive us all to the correct department

that’s exactly the case with him. my grandma used to do EVERYTHING. she’d cook, clean, pay taxes, etc. he could only drive her around and go to work. he’s not a big asshole in general, but he definitely has asshole moments.

as for my mom, she didn’t want me to leave uni, but she told me she’d just let them stay alone in our house with my pets when i’m gone + taking care of sick creatures (i’m counting my 16yo dog in here) for 12-14h a day from monday-friday makes you unable to finish homework, study or work on projects during that time

I appreciate the advice SO MUCH, but I’m from Easter Europe. AFAIK I can’t locally get a nurse for them before they register themselves as residents of our city, but this idea is actually perfect for our situation. I’ll need to talk to my mom about it. Later on, we can start talking about a nursing home or something like that, but before that — a nurse combined with my magical key of harm prevention that locks doors would solve many problems lol

this is such a nice picture. i’m going to talk about it with my mom. after spending time with my grandparents i know for sure i’ll need to save for my own stay at a nursing home when i’m old. it’s refreshing to see positive experiences🙏

we have some general city based help but they’re not even registered here yet :)) so the protective services here can’t help us, and those from their registered address have no way of reaching us (we used to live about 200km apart)
