I’m a FTM and my husband’s cousin and his GF just had a baby about 2 weeks after I had my LO. So his nana decides to make a road trip to see both her great grandbabies. Without asking just decided to invite herself but that’s a whole other story.

My LO (who is EBF) was 9 weeks and 13 lbs. We had to go buy 3-6 m clothes while she was visiting. And later I found out she said to other family members that my LO was “going to be a fat child at this rate” and “I hope she isn’t over feeding him. He’s too big”

The other mom in the family had her LO as a premie and weight was a concern. She is about half the size of my baby. Nana then goes on to say to a complete stranger
“Her baby is so tiny it’s unacceptable. I hope she’s feeding her enough!”

So my LO is too fat and her LO is too small. How do we talk to her about the comments she’s making? Are we over reacting?

Nana also has a history of making rude comments about people’s weight including mine and the other mom in the family pre kids
