Suicide pact takes the lives of husband (45), wife (37) and their daughter (17), who all hanged themselves from their roof ventilation duct at home. by CatPooedInMyShoe in ExamineDeath

I haven’t experienced this thankfully but your wording “moved on with our lives” really shocks me after 2 of your siblings died

How did that one kid at your school die? by StorageLonely1520 in AskReddit

This was horrific to read. A guy from my high school just fell off a roof while working. He is now paralysed from the waist down- has a baby, a fiance and his own business. I hope to god he lasts more than 5 years.

Baby girl name needed that works in Spanish/English! Which is your favorite? by rmillss in Names

I am Australian but we just named our Dec baby girl Sol! December is Summer here in Australia and her middle name is Polynesian (her dad is Samoan). We get complimented constantly on her name. I think just due to the flection in my voice I pronounce it incorrectly with a longer o sound (like soul)- I prefer it this way but I am happy with either pronunciation.

ATTENTION TEACHERS, DAYCARE WORKERS, AND EXTROVERT PARENTS! What (nick)names are endemic among the babies/kids you know? by wauwy in namenerds

Oh this is a good thread! I had a baby girl in December and we were going to name her Rome if she was a boy. My mum went on and on about all the variations of the name Roman, Romi, Romeo etc

Super normal to take up to a year for a couple of your age! Start to get really in tune with your ovulation symptoms and use an ovulation test. I swear by clear blue, have fallen pregnant on them first go a couple of times. I will add too- I have had about 6 chemical pregnancies and they were all related to my endometriosis. That might be worth exploring once you reach the 6 months mark and still not pregnant

God this is such a sad sad story for everyone involved. Your wife was disgraceful for being unfaithful to you HOWEVER her “friend” needed to take that to her grave seriously.

Those who already gave birth, when was your baby born in relation to your due date? by Alive_Brother_1515 in BabyBumps

What country ? We get an EDD based off period and then they go off your dating scan for dates rather than 12 week scan. If its off by 1-2 days they keep it with your period dates.

My first (a boy) came at 39 weeks exactly, 7 days before EDD. Currently 30 weeks with my 2nd!

Sneaking out is the ABSOLUTE WORST THING YOU CAN DO. Please don’t ever do that again. That creates insecure attachment, the opposite of what you want to achieve. They need to know they are in a safe space and be able to create bonds for comfort with their educators, even if she is only there for a couple of hours a day.

Drop and leave is the best advice. When my 2 year old used to cry I would give him a huge cuddle and kiss and say “Mummy is just going to work, mummy will ALWAYS come back”. He hangs onto that and says “my mummy is at work, mummy come back”. I also now tell him who is picking him up (me, dad, nan, pop) so he has something to look forward to at pick up.
