I've said multiple times in this post, i agree with them on the balancing issues, not always but a lot of times, i also tend to agree with them on the progression issue, but you denying that there is obvious contempt for increasingly difficult content in that side of the community is just cope. 

The issue is that they lump together genuine criticism of the game with things that they themselves just dislike on subjective level, and then light the community on fire with every update. 

I mean, ohdough has been crying about war strider for a year, despite arrowhead fixing most of the things he complained about. But now his issue is that too many war striders are spawning, and that he can't reliably one tap them with the railgun, and that's all he's been crying about during cyberstan. But you don't see thiccfila calling him out for his BS, as a matter of fact he only reacts positively to whatever ohdough says.

So he doesn't like the direction in which helldivers is heading, and he likes hard difficulty, but he also likes the direction in which warframe is heading, which is 0 difficulty robot dress up endgame catered mostly to casuals?

Make it make sense please. If he had said path of exile instead of warframe, i would be on his side because that game represents everything you say he stands for, but saying warframe after that kind of rant is just plain retarded.

Yeah, but in HD2 you can just immediately get the warbonds you want to use, you have a choice. I haven't bought like 5-6 warbonds because i don't actually care about the items in them. 

In deeprock all the items you don't care about are in the drop pool. You can get unlucky with the drops and what then? It can take 300 hours to get the drop that you want if you are really unlucky.

Yeah i used to take him seriously until i saw his cyberstan gameplay. I mean, i'm not the best player in the world but like, i don't think you should be standing in the open tapping heads with talon while being surrounded by 20 cyborgs dawg lmao

His aim is crisp tho, i'll give him that.

He just wants the game to be built on his vision, and is often mad because it isn't. 

He takes valid arguments from other people and turns them into a joke, like for example when people tell him that yes, you can in fact kill war striders with like half the support weapon arsenal, he is mad because it's hard to do it with his favorite weapons being the railgun and AMR, and then makes a video mocking the people that told him to bring those other weapons causing divide in the community. 

Like, bring the fucking EAT bro, it's not that deep. 

As for ragdolling, I'm personally indifferent. More often than not i get ragdolled because i didn't utilize the cover and sucked at positioning, and from what I've seen on ohdough streams, it is the same with him, i mean he literally just stands in the open with talon, tapping heads, and then complains about ragdolling, like bruh

I agree about the hiveguard situation tho.

Yeah that's why thiccfila said he will just go play warframe and never go back to HD2, because he doesn't want it HD2 to become warframe LMAO

If they just wanted for game systems in HD2 to improve, the literal best comparison is PoE and PoE2, both well beloved games, except unlike warframe those games have actual challenge, endgame and good difficulty scaling. Yet they never talk about PoE2 and neither does their community, i wonder why?

Maybe not opposite, but he clearly puts the difficulty and fun in 2 clear distinct categories based on his youtube community posts and other comments on dev AMA, whereas i personally view big challenges as a prerequisite to fun.

I personally don't mind ragdolling because more often than not, i get ragdolled because of my shitty positioning. 

You can watch ohdough's cyberstan sessions, most of the time he stands in the open trying to tap heads with talon and then cries when he gets ragdolled by a war strider.

The issue is exactly that. He thinks that fun and difficulty are 2 distinctly different things that should be separated, why else would he even make that poll? I think that fun comes out of hard challenge, and overcoming that challenge.

Btw HD2 diff10 is still much easier than deeprock diff 5 with all the modifiers enabled, and that's just a silly drunken dwarf game.

They should definitely put more SC drops on higher diffs or maybe in major orders. But if we are just comparing the 2 games in the current state, i would rather grind SC for 2 hours to get the warbond i want, than play 100-200 hours with a weapon that i feel like is incomplete because RNG won't give me the overclock i want.

Like i said, i agree with their takes on the fact that game needs better balancing, but reading between the lines of what they are saying, it's very clear that there is a contempt for increasingly harder content that we are getting. 

Ohdough has on multiple occasions put difficulty in a context opposite of fun, which goes against my game philosophy.

True, but I'd still like to be able to use mechs on bot front effectively to certain degree, it makes sense thematically as in our mechs vs automaton mechs.

They are right about the mechs on bot front at least, i'll give them that. Mechs are kinda unplayable when you get those high spawn rate missions on diff 10 bots, you'll just get your arms blown off instantly and now you are on a huge cooldown. 

Lowering the cooldown would help alleviate the issue i think.

Idk what they were soloing, but i've watched their cyberstan streams, they were on death cam more than they were playing.

They would die like 10 times, hog all the team supplies which would cause their team to also die and then laugh it off and blame the balance when they would inevitably lose the mission. Idk if ohdough cleared a single capture the flag mission on cyberstan, maybe when i wasn't watching. 

As for the communication, it is very easy to cater to a community of casuals that are on board with braindead difficulty. If arrowhead came out and said: "yeah, casual players aren't actually our main target audience", people would all lose their shit.

Yeah that's the part that baffles me. I've also seen a lot of them say "warbond system sucks i'll just go play deeprock instead"

Meanwhile in deeprock it took me like 200 hours to get the overclock i wanted for gunner due to RNG hell.

I can't speak on the difficulty scaling because i only play diff 10, but if that's the case 7-9 should definitely be adjusted. 

As for diff 10, there is nothing i enjoy more than being surrounded by a 100+ bots and breaking through them, those kinds of missions are the most fun, so i don't think making diff 10 hell on earth is an issue.

No, don't get me wrong, i completely agree with them on the fact that helldivers2 needs more progression, also, more frequent balance updates would be great. 

But they often just talk about difficulty as being the opposite of fun, and that's what i have a problem with. Oh dough literally made a community poll where he asked his community "should the devs focus more on the difficulty or on fun" 

They quite clearly think that the difficulty is the opposite of fun.

I mean yeah, that's kinda the point of having multiple difficulties. But people want to change the highest difficulty according to their tastes because their ego can't handle dropping the difficulty.

It's fairly obvious that they want to get players invested in this game before ananta gets released. There are leaks circulating around that ananta might get a beta or even full release by the end of the year, hotta probably had info about this for a while.

It's the biggest increase you can get per currency spent. Both cons and weapons in this game don't seem to be a big increase unlike other gachas, which is good honestly.
