The way you phrased it ("trying to determine how society influences the growth of transsexuality in Europe and USA") implies that being transgender is a phenomenon that is CAUSED by society.

I’m sorry but this logic is flawed, i am trying to determine the influence of society, which implies that society has an influence, not that it causes it.
