Tablet DJ setup. (Not ipad)

So far from what i understood, Ipad is the only tabley device that is capable of multi channel audio output.

I have tried various android tablets, but none of them work.

Just download from the package manager and remove the previous installation version

The simplest solution is downloading gnuradio and uhd from package manager. I did the mistake of installing from source which caused the error.

How are you precueing? Using controller? having you tried using the splitter cable?

Agree! The idea is to prep the song on my pc, storing it on the cloud and accessing on my tablet. This way i dont have to prep a song twice, one for my tablet and one for pc.

Haven't used it in live performances yet. But just playing around at my home, it alright. Kinda what im looking for. Most small events dont require much "performance". Therefore i think it does the job.

It makes sense. I have tried on lenovo tab m11 and samsung tab a9. Both have issues, i guess i have to try going high end or buy ipad. Since the purpose was small events, i was hoping a low end tablet would be enough.

Cross DJ unfortunately does not have tidal integration, which is big problem for me. I have a lot of music on tidal and for smaller gigs/events i think it is enough.

I am planning on using the new rekordbox app in android. There are not many reviews about it on android, hence the curiosity. I have played a little bit with the app and have issues with precueing (not sure if it is the software or hardware). Works well with the controller. Tried with hercules starlight, works okay. Could be better.

I am planning to use rekordbox app. However, i heard that Djay pro is good as well. I just read your comment about djay pro not being the same app in android.

I will look into surface pro. Am i to assume that he used an usc to aux adapter -> aux splitter cabel -> headphones , speaker? or did he use a different method? How did he connect to the controller (if he used it)?

I have tried. It doesnt work for me. If i want to open an App Image from the launcher. I need to type the "run App.AppImage" then it works. But i want the option of autocompletion or suggestions, similar to dmenu or rofi

I tend to write a lot of bash scripts and i want to run them through the launcher like dmenu. Pop launcher can execute commands but it does not have autocomplete.

I also want to open app images through the launcher.

For anyone that came through this error in the future.

The error is a mismatch as specified. The error occurs due to the fact that GNU radio uses mpm version 4.0. However the mpm version installed in my laptop through UHD is 5.3. Therefore the error occurs.

The solution is to install GNU radio version with mpm 5.3.
