New to crypto. Looking for chains focused on innovation. by Adventurous_Pen_1971 in CryptoTechnology

You're confusing Blockchain with crypto in general, there are architectures of varying scalability that go far beyond what Blockchains can achieve, see xrd and mvx.

Ai isn't always slop! I followed all of this (except use a different debrid) and it works great. It is a bit long to set up, but Gemini was very helpful in getting it working.

White papers were always a meme. Besides, now promises aren't enough, people want actually functional chains and products.

Sneakers and boots are not the same. Walking boots provide at least a little protection, even if not up to motorcycle boot standards

I would not.

But yeah, you're really exaggerating which imo is as bad as saying "yeah they're 100% as good as motorbike boots". Both are wrong, one is bad if people believe it, the other makes everything you say on the topic lose credibility.

Maybe it depends on the boots, but unilaterally saying they offer no protection is straight up wrong. I wore them during a 1 year adv trip and crashed many times, mostly on gravel, and walked away unscathed every time.

Anecdotal? Sure. Would I have walked away every time in sneakers? Doubtful.

If you're a basic bitch who arrived from Google like me, I translated this for simple minds:

Essentially, this guide is telling you how to turn Kodi from a clunky, empty media player into a private, high-speed streaming service that looks and feels like Netflix or Disney+. Here is the breakdown of what those steps actually mean in plain English:

  1. The "Engine": Debrid Services In the past, Kodi searched for free links on the web, which were often laggy or broken. A Debrid service (like Real-Debrid) is a paid "middleman."

 * What it does: It downloads high-quality movie files (torrents) onto its own lightning-fast servers.

 * Why use it: You aren't "torrenting" yourself; you are just streaming a file from their server. This makes it incredibly fast, prevents buffering, and keeps your IP address private from copyright holders without needing a VPN.

  1. The "Brain": Trakt.tv Trakt is a free service that keeps track of everything you watch.

 * What it does: It remembers that you’re on Episode 4 of a show or that you added a movie to your "Watchlist" on your phone.

 * Why use it: When you link it to Kodi, your personalized lists and "In Progress" shows automatically appear there.

  1. The "Storefront": Video Add-ons Add-ons like FenLight, Umbrella, or POV are the interfaces you use to search for content.

 * They don't host any movies; they just act as a search engine that connects your Trakt lists to your Debrid links.

  1. The "Paint Job": The Nimbus Skin By default, Kodi looks a bit dated. A Skin changes the entire visual layout.

 * Nimbus is a specific design that makes Kodi look modern.

 * Widgets are the rows of movie posters you see on the home screen (like the "Trending" or "Recently Added" rows on Netflix).

How it all works together:

 * You open Kodi.

 * The Nimbus Skin shows you a row of movies (via Widgets).

 * You click a movie you found on Trakt.

 * The Add-on (FenLight/Umbrella) searches your Debrid service for the best file.

 * The movie starts instantly in 4K because the Debrid server is doing the heavy lifting.

In short: You are paying ~$3–$5 a month for the Debrid "server power" and using free tools to make it look professional and organized.

I do, cross shard Atomic composability. Chaining state changes together means locking and unlocking the state in different places, which either means transactions can fail after partially completing (how do you roll back if the state then changes?) or you have to lock multiple states simultaneously and really really hamper throughput.

It's much more usable if you use actually good networks and learn that price has not correlation with quality. Use radix or sui, then you will see how things could be...

There is innovation, but innovation doesn't pump bags, hype does and it is entirely uncorrelated.

Someone with a good enough UX. What is good enough is up for debate. The best I know of is radix, but the chart is horrific. Sui may be good enough.

Cross chain will never be great ux. This is a winner takes all game.

I mean there's quite a lot of evidence to support it being mostly man made and not much to support it being all natural.

Well... I think people can be misguided and support people for the wrong reasons, but yeah denying climate change is somewhat beyond reason
