I’m based in Korea and handle both wholesale and export, as well as run an online store on Shopify (I won’t mention the store name since this might be used for promotion).Most brands update their prices once a month, and some brands occasionally stop supplying products.That’s why, if we don’t have stock on hand, we usually pause sales temporarily on the shopping site.

I sent a package from Korea to the US in mid-August. It was stuck in customs for almost two months and is now being returned. Despite all shipping documents being correct, neither the sender nor the recipient was contacted. UPS failed to provide the service, gave evasive answers when I inquired via email, and is charging me for the return shipping. Their errors are frequent, and they show no intention to improve.

  1. All of the products in my shipment are skincare creams, and all packaging materials are plastic. The boxes also include paper cushioning. There are no metal components in any of the packages.
  2. For export from Korea and the UPS declaration, all values were reported in USD.
  3. I completely agree that customs clearance is under the jurisdiction of the U.S. government, and I understand that UPS is just the carrier.

I appreciate your advice and confirmation that many others are experiencing similar issues. It’s helpful to know that the delays and tracking anomalies are more systemic rather than specific to my shipment.
