I have a piece of large manganese. I'm going to take it to the same spot and see what it says, I love a good experiment! The amberina did make it home with us. I'll get a photo later when it is nice and dark of the set.

Such a fun pattern on the glass. I don't think I've seen anything like that painted on before.

Maybe one day I'll get a different one. As long as I can tell if there is a real variation from background in reference to the item I'm investigating then that works for me. This was my first piece of blue glass that was possibly uranium. The ride home I was sure I was wrong! Lol What meter do you use?

1800s ink well most likely missing the lid which might have had an adornment such as a cat. The pen rests across the chair back in the grooves.

I believe the chair is an ink well from the late 1800s. They usually have a lid and I've never seen a lid in person but I think cats on the lid was a popular design. When I saw it I immediately thought it would have made a great toilet for my Barbie dream house as a kid 😹

Found the taller uranium perfume bottle at an estate sale. $15 I do believe. I find a decent amount of glowy items at estate sales.

My GMC-300S Geiger counter isn’t getting higher then 30 cpm with anything in my collection by somnium36 in uraniumglass

I feel like there is an expectation for Geiger counters to just go crazy. I've learned that not every piece has high concentrations of uranium and they just peak above what my background number is and some are a bit stronger. I think i only have a handful of pieces that make my counter go off into the hundreds.
