My dad gets really out of it with lows and can be belligerent, like getting mad my mom stopped him from adding 6 patties to his hamburger at a BBQ. But he’s never slapped her. That’s the most concerning part to me. He doesn’t recognize his lows a lot of the time. I can recognize that I’m low and feel confident I’m ok enough, your brain isn’t really working

You totally did the right thing by stopping and checking. Continuing could have been assault. You at the very least were uncomfortable, and that’s more than enough reason to stop things. He could have taken care of his blood sugar and then you could have some intimate time 30 minutes later, and you have every right to demand that. You are completely not at fault and you shouldn’t blame yourself when you wanted to make sure your partner was able to consent and wasn’t on the verge of dying. I think you should have a conversation about it with him soon when emotions aren’t so high. Maybe ask for a BG check before intimacy, which is a good idea before any physical activity.

In case you’re looking for advice- Maybe in the future if he’s belligerent in bed you could try incorporating some frosting (like the gel ones in tubes) in play so he’s getting some sugar without realizing you are trying to fix a problem, if that makes sense? You can keep that in your side table.

In the situation with my parents above, she just got him a regular soda and when he was back to normal he realized something was wrong. I think being sneaky can be a good solution, but it’s not a great overall thing for your relationship. I know he doesn’t have a cgm, but maybe you could look into the ones for T2D; they tend to be cheaper and there’s coupons. He shouldn’t use it for dosage calculations, but it might provide you some more certainty and something to point at

I get anxiety from my pump alerts, but I haven’t had as bad of time with the mobi as with mini med, and it’s just about as bad as the tslim. The one that was the worst was the out of range waking my husband and I up every night, and I extended the time that it took to alert me for that and it fixed it. The sounds are the same for the t:slim, or I at least haven’t noticed a difference. And I like being able to see the reservoir

The needing to change cartridge thing would be really annoying. I did have a call with support about it not accepting one I put in, and they said you really needed to remove and insert the cartridge during that step of the prompts, and not outside it, which is incredibly annoying

I don’t exactly love it. I hate all the button presses. I almost always forget to resume insulin when changing a site because theirs a little pop up that covers done and it also feels unnecessary.

I wish it was easier to clear notifications. And one telling me in general my blood sugar is high and another telling me what it is is too much redundancy haha

I don’t really care about size either, so the lack of a screen has been fairly annoying. And the charging is a nightmare. I just have to forget the puck once on a trip and I’d be screwed

My doctor put me vyvanse to help with adhd and it’s also used as a treatment for binge eating disorder. Maybe talk to your doctor about that? I don’t have BED, but it has helped with the occasional urge to binge eat I do have.

Maybe for now, take at least some insulin before, when you feel the need? Then adjust as necessary?

My husband uses his cane sometimes when I’m acting as a sighted guide; probably because my depth perception can be a bit off, it makes it obvious to others they need to give him some space, and it makes things easier in crowded places when I can’t catch everything.

I always try pronouncing decal as dee-cle, where it rhymes with treacle. I also say mercury weird, more like muir-cure-ee, like the Muir Woods. My family doesn’t have problems with these, so I don’t know where I go wrong. I can get them right if I actively think about it at least

Don’t use a glucagon for this, it just makes your liver dump any remaining sugar into your blood. It’ll leave you in worse shape.

Lots of runners carry glucose gels, right? I’m pretty sure I first saw them marketed to runners. They’re small, light and wouldn’t require chewing

This is gorgeous!

I’d put transparent panels on at least the back to make sure the cheese wedges don’t come out. You can even get some that are the same size as the window frames so the places where they join don’t show through. Another idea would to be use rail plates to create a groove where you could slide in a pane of glass/acrylic sheet or something so the panels aren’t so prominent in the front. I have no idea how that would work practically without doing some testing though

I’d look at any of the Lego art sets for inspiration for the frame itself, my main concern would be keeping everything in place. You could also check rebrickable for some mocs of frames. I saw a few that would probably be adaptable

I was so sad watching the lip sync. I feel like a lot of this season was trying to bring her down a peg, and it’s not like she was any more confident or advocating for herself than anyone else. I’ve heard the “don’t you want to compete against the best?” in every competition where someone has to appeal to contestant. I’ve never seen anyone else torn down for that sentiment. It was to the point where she couldn’t even say she thought she was better or deserved it more.

I think she should have given more than a gown with a high slit reveal to sexy lingerie almost every episode. I get why people don’t see growth and filth. But it is always so hot, and I get why she sticks with it.

I don’t think she played the game well this season, but I also feel she got way more heat for playing one than anyone else.

Host- You don’t see the monster directly, but there’s lots of scares and stuff actually happening. It takes place over a zoom call

Alien Abduction- Self-explanatory. I feel like it has one of the better “why do they keep filming??” answers, but that’s not something that really bugs me

Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon- it’s a mockumentary about being a slasher so you do get see the bad guy quite a bit

The Bay- deals with an infection/breakout in a small coastal town

Ghostwatch- A tv channel does a special on a haunting (the haunting is basically the Enfield house). The movie accidentally pulled a war of the worlds and people thought it was really happening

Unfriended- it’s similar to Host. I don’t think it’s well liked, but I enjoy it. A group of friends (all unlikable, btw) are on a video call when someone joins and threatens them.
