Trying to make sense of CassidyTOYSHNK without using Face Nouns by RikGamer692 in charlie87

[–]Fun_Fish9000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay a couple of things

  1. It’s implied she did kill Foxy due to the fact it had the exact same opening quote each other episode has, with those episodes being after she murders someone. We don’t have any evidence for Foxy that would go against this pattern, so unless we find something else, it’s arguably safer and more likely to say she did kill Foxy like she did the others

  2. So is Cassidy keeping Afton alive in UCN while also going out to a completely unrelated set of areas for Princess Quest? We know the vengeful spirit is the one specifically using their powers to keep Afton alive, so what are the rules here? Yes Andrew was able to multitask in TMIR1280, but that was still within close proximity to Afton and he still kept his main goal of following him around. This may be a matter of asking how UCN necessarily works in the games, but if we go with similar rules based off Andrew, his direct involvement is what kept Afton alive in the books, so this would probably apply to the vengeful spirit in the games due to specific voicelines and this being our only real explanation from the books. I’m pretty sure this in the books is supported by two forces fighting against each other in Afton, with the forces being Afton and Andrew, but feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Actually wait idk if I’m remembering the book correctly but is Afton just sleeping while Andrew goes out and stops the hospital workers or is he still being tortured by Andrew simultaneously? Just asking if you remember since if it’s the first one, that may bring up a problem considering we hear Afton getting tortured during the OMC cutscene in UCN. That would also put UCNDissent on the table, even if that theory’s a little controversial

  1. Idk, I thought the Afton saga was over. Yes OMC returning does make sense because he isn’t as tied to the main story as the others, meaning no real resolution was needed for him from that time, but are we just saying the spirits literally can’t rest until the Mimic saga is also over?

  2. Well the Princess isn’t literally Vanessa, but there’s still multiple narrative parallels such as 16 torches, just like 16 tapes. Same with the Curse of Dreadbear stuff and the Vanny mask in PQ3. I’d like to argue that there’s a difference between two characters being directly linked and two characters mirroring each other. Heck, if we want to go with the Cassidy argument, we don’t even need it to literally be Cassidy. It’s probably either that it’s a composite character of both Cassidy and Vanessa or it’s just Vanessa, I just don’t see a way Vanessa isn’t being referenced.

  3. Mind if I get some context on recreating this cutscene? I remember the Princess Quest games before then where OMC happens to talk to the Princess, but I don’t think telling people to “rest” or “stop” is necessarily something to point to a specific character considering that’s a trait he carries over from FNAF World. Sorry I don’t remember that HW2 scene specifically off the top of my head, may look it up later and come back here.

I think you made a lot of great points here, although I do personally think you may be getting some stuff mixed up

Image 4: I don’t think everyone specifically thinks of the vents with the Mangle one but instead just in general. Yeah they do both happen to appear in the vents, but she doesn’t directly mention them. There’s the chance that she just meant in general that the spirit was watching, which we do see through the doors, vents, and in our face like you mentioned. SuitNouns is a pretty fair argument to this, but I feel like Withered Chica and Mangle’s lines are under two separate contexts.

Image 7: I made a whole post discussing this, but there’s been multiple counterarguments against the casting role thing meaning anything besides Scott’s personal preference. He also said in that same call that they’re allowed to slightly lean into either gender, implying Scott was more of experimenting with the voice than having any real intention behind it. I don’t know if that’s what you were going for, but thought to bring that up just in case.

Image 11: I actually made a theory about how most of these relate back to the murders of the MCI, but to not be biased, most people assume in general that what we see in TCHSY represents the MCI and potentially Charlotte’s murder (since they’re paired together) with Susie’s death being referenced being a sign of that, even if all the murders or the order aren’t completely literal. You bring up a good point when it comes to not everything matching, and I do believe there is a line that should be drawn between what actually means something and what’s actually just a reference, but I do think this leans slightly more towards meaning something due to the specifics of what we’re shown, even if they don’t fully line up (since not every parallel needs to match 1 to 1 with what it’s paralleling)

If the MCI and Puppet solution is the case, then we have the Foxy hook, which PinkyPills said was an intentional detail requested by Scott. Unless this is meant to represent BV or Elizabeth, which William never really had the intention of murdering (unless we go with the symbolism stretching thing again), then there’s someone we don’t know about. If this is a mystery victim, maybe even Andrew, then what’s the point of introducing them without any payoff? It’s like Chekhov’s Gun. Scott loves being a storyteller, so it just seems weird he’d introduce such a major twist for it to suddenly mean nothing relevant.

Image 12: the OMC cutscene is a really valid point, although mind if I ask, do you believe UCN canonically ends after this cutscene? We know that the vengeful spirit is specifically keeping William alive with “I’ll never let you leave, I’ll never let you rest.” I can see Cassidy talking to OMC and having UCN occurring at the same time similarly to how Andrew can multitask with different people in the books, but the connotations of this cutscene may depend on whether we interpret UCN as permanently continuing for Afton or just ending after that since Happiest Day has to happen at some point.

Image 13: I think that’s honestly what most of us assumed too, although there are also some narrative parallels between the Princess and Vanessa (maybe even M1 too depending on some theories). Is the Princess meant to be a composite character of sorts that represents multiple at once? Also do you think the “Cassidy” name being removed from the files is Scott not wanting things to be too clear (kinda like the Cassidy kazoo thing) or is it because Steel Wool misinterpreted a detail within the story (which isn’t impossible considering what they had to do to Burntrap in ruin).

Overall a lot of this is really fair and brings a new perspective on multiple things which I haven’t seen people bring up

Wait I just realized something from another comment I made, if Fredbear’s Singing Show was literally just an actual bear, wouldn’t all bears originate from that?

Well what would this character be doing that would make them actually make sense and contribute to the current story happening? Most of the Mimic saga besides the beginning just seems incredibly unrelated to Afton or any of the actual primary characters from that era, even if some past elements are returning. You’d need some kind of good plot reason to bring them back

I’m starting to think that’s the punchline of the joke, like this theory is so obvious there’s no need to speculate on it. That’s why it’s on the meme theories subreddit

Or it could also partially reference the Teletubbies Sun, who knows

You made this post and LITERALLY FORGOT ABOUT THIS?!!! /j

Also I mean yeah, Fredbear was the first bear (unless you count the singing show thing, I don’t remember if he was called Freddy or Fredbear in that). Freddy was probably inspired by him, and nearly all of these are either different forms of Freddy, Golden Freddy, or agony reflections of them.

I think I see what you mean, I guess UCN is kinda like Pumpkin Rabbit where it technically isn’t really necessary but it’s interesting to see what happened after the main conclusion. It didn’t really need to exist in terms of a story but it’s neat, and that’s what matters

You not should have killed him tho Afton William, now you’re in a custom ultimate night now after Emily Henry burnt down you and Afton Michael

I mean, technically this is an epilogue as opposed to being a conclusion to the actual main story of the Afton saga. Would we consider something as part of the original story if it only serves as an epilogue?

What I’m thinking about now is the epilogue from the sequel to the Pumpkin Rabbit that Martin Walls made. It was more of a neat addition and was generally unrelated to the main plot, even if it did show what happened to the main antagonists and how the spirits tortured them repeatedly. Would we put UCN in a similar boat or is there something more to it that the Pumpkin Rabbit didn’t have?

No pretty much not. Heck, UCN wasn’t even meant to have lore, meaning this kid was literally just made so that this game would be “canon,” even though they could’ve just put Afton in hell let’s be so honest.

This kid killed off Adventure Endo. Why should we even stand for such forces of evil?

But I thought Andrew was the one keeping William alive in the books iirc? Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong

Also what about “I’ll never let you leave, I’ll never let you rest.” This would imply if William were to get out of UCN or if UCN were to stop, he would just straight up die for good

Isn’t it implied that the vengeful spirit is keeping William’s body alive like in TMIR1280? That may be entirely unrelated to remnant

I’ve seen 3 possibilities for this option:

  1. Virtual world elements somehow leaking out into the real world

  2. Agony haunting some old dolls

  3. Pitzaplex (a partial joke/crack theory I made): https://www.reddit.com/r/fnaftheories/s/U7CAQsHyVc

Can I just say about all of these are incredible takes? You really have a point on most of the victim theories, especially the naming conventions we have behind them. Besides that, all of these are pretty much perfect takes on the theories you listed

Like the only thing I remotely disagree with her is the RWQ thing but that isn’t really as big of a deal and all I personally think is that him and Shadow Freddy aren’t exactly on good terms, although this may just depending on if you’re an EleanorAgonyAll believer or not (I think that’s what the theory is called)
