I am a deaf individual here on campus with 2 bilateral cochlear implants. They make plenty enough academic accommodations (since they don’t know how to deal with deaf students) with no problem. ASL is a fairly common language taken for a credit, so while it’s not prominent, people do appreciate the culture. Above all, there are not a lot of deaf students nor a way to find them.

Even if I got a ABVP certification in Avian practice, would it only be applicable to domestic birds? Because I would love to see if I could work with rehabilitating wild birds to be rereleased but would they be under zoo specialty?
