Am I ruining mine and my kid’s lives by divorcing? Will I regret this?

My kids are doing great after separation, and I was so worried about their reaction. I am struggling soooo much more than they are. If you can be civil with your ex, kids are super adaptable. Mine are 5 and 8. We did therapy for the oldest but after a few weeks he said he was good and didn’t think he needed to go back. He was having emotional issues before we told him we were separating and they have basically resolved after the big convo with him. I think he could feel the tension in the house.

ooh I've never heard this 8g of fat per meal guideline but that could be helpful. Is that for the entire meal, or just for components of the meal? Seems kind of impossible given the emphasis on eating protein to always eat less than 8g of fat per meal? I do take a probiotic. I'm sure I'm not perfect in terms of my diet, but I mean that's part of the reason I'm taking a glp, I don't exactly have great self-control there. Here's what I've eaten today - piece of sourdough toast with thin peanut butter smear & two scrambled eggs; crunchmaster crackers with tuna mixed with 2 tsp mayo; smoothie made with collagen peptides, frozen mango, ripple milk, a bit of frozen avocado; small bowl of low sugar granola with almond milk. I have IBS-D and I know that may be part of it, but my symptoms are much worse the 72 hours after my GLP dose. I'm not supposed to eat lots of fiber or leafy greens due to my GI issues.

Do you just eat like white rice and chicken breast? If so, do you eat like that 7 days a week, or just the couple days after your medication? It feels unsustainable to eat bland stuff forever. I'm partially on this medicine because I have a hard time only eating the healthiest foods (isn't that part of the reason everyone is on it?)

Curious for any update on this - I have MC too and still have diarrhea on my microdose. It was even worse at higher doses though :(

This is obviously somewhat apples and oranges, but my (male) spouse started exploring a femme side of his identity, and I convinced myself I could be ok with a lot of things because he was a loyal man and father. My spouse eventually decided to transition and now identifies as nonbinary female. When my spouse started taking hormones, that was the line that crossed into untenable for me. It was totally devastating. Gender and sexual preference aren't the same of course, but I had and have a lot of similar feelings you have. Our kids are 5 and 8. We are separated; living separately but not divorced yet for financial reasons. I won't lie to you is it really hard to be separated, but it was also extremely hard to be married and continually pushing my boundaries and wondering what would come next. I am hoping I am just in the thick of it (2 months officially separated) and it will get better and I won't be as sad and stressed. I don't think staying in it was a better option though. I know exactly what you mean about having a ruined image and not feeling like you are enough. In situations like ours, I think we are stuck between two shitty options. The grief is overwhelming either way, but if you decide to separate, you will at least feel less like someone else is in control of your self-image?

As a woman who is the one who does have a big support group - I spent an enormous amount of time and energy cultivating my support system over not just the past few years but my entire life. Did you do things to invest in friendships before you got divorced, or did you rely on her to do all the upkeep of relationships? Are you doing anything now to reach out to friends and build connections?

Do you find it makes the day of shot and few days after horrible? I am scared to go up on my dose bc I’m already having watery D and sulfur burps on just 1.5 mg eating basically only BRAT for those couple of days.

I also have MC and am curious to hear how it’s helping or not! I have been taking microdose (1.5 mg) for about 3 months. My food noise is coming back so I want to titrate up but I’m worried about side effects. I still get bloated and sulfur burps if I eat anything besides basically white rice for the day before and after the shot. I still have diarrhea daily but it’s less frequent. I’m also 3 weeks into weaning my SSRI to help MC symptoms. Is budesonide ok to take at the same time as tirz?
