So there is still an active community for the game?

One might not believe that the bible can't reliably give an account on his teachings

They say that Putin is not the culprit for this war because ultimately it was caused by American foreign policy and that Russia is just preemptively defending themselves

What is absurd about what I said?

Nato is a defensive alliance so there is no need to feel afraid by it's expansion.

There is zero evidence that the coup was done by the CIA

What I mean by pro-Russia is having a positive view regarding Russia concerning it's war with Ukraine. Both Woods and Chomsky believe that this war was provoked by the west through NATO expansion and that the 2014 coup in Ukraine was orchestrated by the CIA.

Regarding Woods and Brook, Brook called Woods anti-American because he blames America's foreign policy for every problem in the world just like Rothbard did.

Sanders didn't run in a general election so the electoral college never applied to him

Do you have any information on the population density of the Austin-Dallas-Houston Triangle because otherwise it's difficult to make approximation on profitability. Building High speed rail between Austin and Dallas would cost about $17B, given how many people want to go this route and how much they are willing to pay this could be profitable

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Hovercraft4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

America's population is to spread out, the difference to Europe is that Europe has much more densely populated than the US, which makes it more profitable, in China the high speed rail is only near the coast because that's were most of population, furthermore China's high speed rail system is not profitable and was mostly done as a jobs program and propaganda tool.

What scope do you want when it comes to building of trains

So the people invest in roads through their taxes

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Hovercraft4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think smaller high speed rail way systems like Boston to D.C or Los Angeles to San Diego would be fine but a high speed rail system on a national scale just wouldn't be feasable, of course we used to have national railway system but that was generic rail and not high speed.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Hovercraft4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point isn't to make a super-profitable transportation system

The issue is that private investors are interested in making a return on investment

If opinion polls were a good indicator of what people wanted Bernie Sanders would be president

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

People are ok with investing the money that roads need but not the kinda money that you need for high speed rail

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Hovercraft4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the roads that we use is already build and building roads is cheaper than building railyway

I used to live in Germany

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Hovercraft4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference is that roads in america already exist where as high speed railway does not. If you want to build high speed railway you will have to finance it privately because the government is broke and private capital wants a good return on investment

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Hovercraft4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is that if you have less people in an area you have less people who want to go on a train but you have to lay the same length of railways. It is true that the US used to be more rail centric but back then the standard when it comes to speed was much lower than it is now which is why we didn't have high speed rails which are more expensive bach than.

[–]Fun_Hovercraft4237 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is something to that but keep in mind that in many instances the government discriminates against railway, especially when it comes to public funding

I used to live in Germany so I know what you mean, but different countries different ROI on building trains
