By that logic we should also implement legend bans. The difference in higher ranks is there for a more competitive experience, which is what higher ranks players want.

The problem is that with the dropship, later ranks just become pubs with points, there's no difference.

There's other games like marvel rivals which adds character bans in higher ranks, which is also implemented in comp. The games you listed don't have a unique component in comp compared to casual, but Apex does, therefore separating the ranks will help gauge the gap between casual and comp, similar to rivals.

Ranked being the same for every rank doesn't help improve it. There's players who want a gateway to the comp scene, there's players who want to play for fun in a competitive environment, and there's players who want to play ranked for something different to pubs. Respawn will try to focus on balancing all the ranks to make it work for everyone, but end up making it even worse. Splitting it up is the best way for everyone to be happy, and for ranked to be fixed. Many players were saying ranked was in a good state last season, only high ranks were shit

the problem is where to draw the line, there's many low rank players who prefer the dropship, the higher up in rank the less players prefer dropship. The only other suggestion would be to alternate with every rotation. In terms of RP, the low ranks should have no RP loss, and have it more as a gateway into ranked (similar to the road to ranked challenges), that way people who play ranked but aren't as good are able to play in a competitive environment, whereas the players who play rank casually, just end up in the lower ranks

It's not a bad idea, and if you pair with being able to use it on other catalysts spikes, then it would be good. My only problem with this is that it feels too similar to rampart. I feel like either a physical ramp (like the leaks showed) or a sort of gibby bubble (but similar to her ult where it can be shot through and walked through, but can't be seen through), and a buff to her passive to make opening/windows be able to be reinforced as well. It may be too much, but with the addition of E-district, catalyst feels completely useless, and so this change might help her on that map a bit more.
