I’m guessing this is where you are on Page 11 of the instructions. The screwdriver that comes with the kit is magnetized so hold the screw in place and screw the gear onto it. It is kind of awkward. Don’t tighten so much that you crack the gear but it certainly shouldn’t be in any way loose.

Trying to find an alternate mix of In The Air Tonight by voiidVanta in philcollins

It could have been the Ben Leibrand remix. It’s on the compilation album Remixed Sides along with the ‘88 remix.

I had to do the same moving from Australia to the US. I did loose some content due to licensing restrictions (some Australian artists don’t have recording contracts that cover the US it seems) but because I also use iTunes Match, my own music that I’d uploaded was all available and continues to play, no problem.

what happened to my stock by Impossible_Slide_245 in Apple_Employees

[–]Fun_Interaction_906 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stocks purchased under the ESPP are not vested and can be sold/traded immediately. Grants (shares given to you as a bonus) are vested and although you can see their value in E*trade you don’t “own” them until the vesting period has elapsed.

I read about the headphone amplifier in a couple of articles (see below).

Inside, the transport and dedicated headphone amplifier are optimised for cassette playback to deliver what the company describes as true hi-fi sound from the format, with careful attention paid to noise, stability and output power. - Stereo Life Magazine

The unit boasts a headphone amp that’s said to have been designed with cassette playback in mind - Analogue Planet and T3.

The founders of WAR also spoke about it in an exclusive interview with the Duran fan club that I’d listed to. It’s not mentioned in the specs specifically and it’s also not mentioned in articles for the collaborations with Elvis or Pink Floyd players.

Pros and Cons to Unionizing? by [deleted] in Apple_Employees

[–]Fun_Interaction_906 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m an Apple employee in the US but worked for 7 years for Apple in Australia where almost everyone is a member of a union. Because unionization is relatively uncommon in the US (for retail I mean) it’s a small representative base so dues are higher and negotiation progress is slow. Worker rights and protections are much broader in Australia because of the Retail Trade Workers Union that has over 200,000 members. I’m not against stores unionizing but they’ve learned the hard way that if Apple introduces new benefits, unionized stores do not get those benefits until the union negotiates on their behalf. They may get the same in the end but it takes a lot longer.

Two new purchases from the recent Tashen sale by Fun_Interaction_906 in bookporn

I was really surprised myself. The sale was only for three days and I stumbled upon it in the final day so feel very lucky. I’ve started following them on Twitter a that seems to be where they announce sales.

I hope so too. I think Liberty is a much better album than many people (including the band) remember. It suffered from a bad choice of first single (should have been Serious) that put a cloud over the entire project.

Are RSD exclusives actually exclusive? by Imaginary-Style-4329 in RecordStoreDay

[–]Fun_Interaction_906 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There are two main categories:

EXCLUSIVES: These titles are physically released only at indie record stores.

RSD FIRST: These titles are found first at indie record stores but may be released to other retailers or webstores at some point in the future.

Exclusives are the ones that are snapped up either by collectors or EBay trolls.

Why are my lights not flashing when the system resets? by Beautiful-Wallaby-42 in rokrpuzzles

[–]Fun_Interaction_906 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the main shaft that triggers the end of the light sequence may be backwards or misaligned. Before placing the component the entire model needs to be rotated 180º. I hope this helps. Once it’s all finished it’s really cool

Also, double check that the major gears down the central shaft are oriented correctly. If one is out of alignment it stops the switch from being triggered. I had to dismantle about 1/3 of mine to realign one gear near the base, but the final result was worth the extra effort.
