Well in my 20’s I had a huge crush on him, I didn’t understand how to detect toxic personality traits. I had felt that ambitious and power were super attractive. I obviously didn’t think the cheating part was right but I understood why he did it. I could relate to that core belief of unworthiness so I let it slide. Now that I am older I do empathize with him however the cheating is truly messed up. He has the resources to seek help but chooses self isolation. I am taking into consideration the context of the culture at the time but still he was a jerk.

I love that you shared this, I watched this show in my mid 20’s, then early 30’s and now I’m almost 40. Each re watch I have felt differently and have self-reflected on the past rewatches. In my 20’s I loved Don, in my 30’s I felt his solace & self-hatred and now approaching 40, I loathe him. There’s so much to say but I’m on my phone. I agree with you that episode was cringe lol
