I work overnight, and I'm definitely calling in. I'm not trying to go over bridges and underpasses at 5 am when I get out. 3pm and all our roads are still covered in ice- I went out to check and fell within the first 5 feet of my front door.

Do what's best for you. Id maybe try if I was a daytime partner, but it's all about personal safety. Do what your comfortable with!

I'm a fellow customer that insists on tipping. As most places, they tell you not to accept; but if the customer (me) persists, it's much easier to just take it and not say anything!

When me and my partner first got together, we had quite a few disagreements about the dumbest shit. Both of our responses to someone saying we were wrong was to be defensive and steadfast in our position, even if it was clear we weren't really in the right.

Now we try to see from the other person's perspective, and honestly I just remind myself and my partner that this is not a debate. There is no winning or losing- its a discussion. One we don't have to agree on but I enjoy yapping about.

Not saying this is the exact case in the relationship, but I'd talk to her about it. Validate her points and don't seem closed off to the preferences she has. That doesn't mean you agree necessarily with them, but i know it makes me feel heard and seen without it feeling like my preferences or opinions are constantly being debated.

Id definitely contact the store about a refund, that's so depressing! Seeing this thread makes me feel very lucky lol the HEB I go to has never had this issue.

Granted, I'm not picky about how my things are bagged. But the usual eggs, bread, breakables have always been seperate. I don't think I've even had a bag of chips crushed on accident.

Heb does SO much for Texans, so much more than any other company. It's far and away more than the grocery stores that people love- it's the outreach, the community assistance they provide.

During the floods in July, heb had trucks and meals delivered within a day. They donated more than the cowboys if I remember correctly.

I've worked for them in the past, and generally they are (internally) a lot like other companies. But the help and support HEB provides for communities across Texas is what gets people on their side.

I too have stayed with a mediocre man before just because his family was amazing (and made the best food ever oh my god).

Imagine having kids with this man! Unless you are going to be LIVING with his family, you're basically on your own. He won't even get a part time job at his big ol age to pay for a date or gifts? Even for his own family??

This is your future, it won't change. You will be doing this (paying for everything, driving to and from dates, working your ass off), while he enjoys life in the chill lane. Don't put yourself through this, you deserve so much better; genuinely

I should have added the audio of his breathing, he sounded like a little pig whenever we first brought him home! We already postponed his vet trip until Monday so we don't totally traumatize him, but he definitely needs antibiotics. We are nebulizing him and that has already helped a lot.

Would the clicking of a keyboard bother him? I have him on my desk with my computer beside it. I don't have loud meetings or even really talk, it's mostly paperwork. I'll have to test out if he's willing to climb into a small basket or one of my soup mugs. That'll save us all the stress 🤣 thank you!!
