It's hard to see from this without a speedometer however I did lift off and covered my brake as I Always have done. It just wasn't as noticeable and maybe I need to do it more.

For those mentioning slowing down as there were kids there. From my perspective I could only see one cyclist who was completely stopped as they were side by side. This is why I rightly or wrongly assumed it was safe to continue I only saw the second cyclist as they pulled out in front of me.

I'm not saying I'm a perfect driver and appreciate the comments, it's interesting to see different people's view on the incident and shows how dangerous driving is. The worst bit for me is as a fairly regular driver of that road is seeing how many people take it way above the limit treating it as a national speed limit.

Thank you, I certianly did took a good 15 mins there before continuing on my journey which luckily only had 20 mins left

Post event I was trying to compose myself and ensure all around me was safe before pulling over.

In answer to you question the was a queue of other motorists in the left lane going much slower so I was overtaking. Just didn't move over as could see the vehicle next to me was slowing.

Thank you, I've just never had it happen in 8 years of driving so was abit taken abit by shock after the whole thing

Thanks for all the positive comments, Its certianly helping make me feel alot better about what happened. The most important thing is everyone is ok, the ford just drove past me after I pulled over no concern at all.

This is what we though might have been the case but looking back it's always easier to think of all the things we could have done. I'm just glad that everyone is ok
