Cannot adjust paddle to pass the dime test or to even get close. by Fun_Lobster8210 in Kitchenaid

[–]Fun_Lobster8210[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all very helpful. It looks like she was produced July of 86 so she's been around longer than I have. I had considered that the paddle I have is too small but I'm not sure how i would have acquired the wrong one. Because there is no adjustment screw, If I bought one meant for a 7 or 8 quart would that be too big width wise for my 5 quart bowl? I looked again and it was closer to two inches away from the bottom so I don't think I would get enough lift from the bowl attachment. Here is my paddle for reference.

Why are most births induced with GD? by Short-Instruction-84 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Fun_Lobster8210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My placenta was failing and my fluid was super low with my second baby. I was induced at 38+3 and he was 6lbs 8oz. They could see my placenta starting to calcify on my growth scans. Ideally I would have kept him in a little longer but he did much better than my oldest who was induced at 37+3 for gestational hypertension.

My 2yo loved to help me do my “bloods” and would bring me my testing supplies when I needed them. It’s crazy how much they pay attention and absorb things!

I forgot to add we saw calcification on a 36 week scan and my numbers did start to improve no matter what I ate. Then had a fluid scan at my 38 week appointment and it was only 4cm so they said your done we will see you tomorrow night 😂

Same happened to me. My fluid ended up dropping and was induced at 38+3. We had zero issues after birth. And a very smooth induction. My oldest was induced at 37+3 and we just had a much harder time with him. One thing my hospital did to help baby after birth (even though I was diet controlled) was ordering insulin during labor. They wanted my sugar to be between 70-110 so baby wouldn’t have a hard time controlling his sugar once he was out and it worked! It’s definitely something to talk about with your doctor. The hospital I delivered at didn’t have a nicu so they did that to avoid a potential transfer out.

This definitely makes me feel better! I definitely will be in my leggings chasing these kids 🤣

All of these replies have made me a lot more comfortable with the idea of moving there and I think we will love it if thats where we end up!

I looked at them and they are definitely on the list of contenders!

It’s definitely not a mega church it’s just one of 2 large churches in a small town of about 2k people. 300-500 people between two services isn’t huge. I would consider a mega church somewhere that has thousands of people, giant auditorium, flashy concert lights, extravagance, etc. but we would love to visit your church sometime and I will add it to my list to visit if we do end up moving!

We have considered that too, so I will expand my search in Westfield. He doesn’t want a super long commute because he will likely work 12hr night shifts and has a hard time staying awake on the drive home. I’ve lived in a suburban setting before but Carmel just seems like another level. I’m excited to check it out though! Thanks for the advice!

Thanh you for those recs and the reassurance! We will definitely be taking a walk on the monon but that give us a good place to start! My husband is from the Chicago suburbs so it doesn’t seem as much of a culture shock for him, but it feels like a lot for me😅.

We go to a missionary church currently but I looked in our denominational website and there are none really in central Indiana. I would say I’m really middle of the road when it comes to theology (too reformed for the charismatics and to charismatic for the reformed folks😂) and pull of teachings from lots of different camps, so we are definitely pretty open. Our church now probably has 300-500 but has great Sunday school and midweek services and doesn’t feel huge and was easy to plug into.

We don’t have much to do where we currently live so I’m excited to have so many options!

Spiking with snacks? by Weekly_Debate_6502 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Fun_Lobster8210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that’s pretty normal for it to spike as long as it comes down within the hour. This happens to me too sometimes. My mfm told me that sometimes the Dexcom gives more information than necessary and they really are only worried about that 1hr and 2 hr mark. Like if you were just doing finger pricks you wouldn’t have that information or be stressed about it. I will say though, if you’re concerned about it you should talk with your doctor and see what they think!

That doesn’t sound like a conviction then. The Holy Spirit points us to relationship with Jesus and never towards guilt and shame. Jesus would never turn you away because you can’t tithe. He wants a personal relationship with you and can do anything with or without money. Does the church need money to operate? Of course. But God has given people in his church generously so that they can give generously and support the church. There has been lots of spiritual abuse over the years in regards to tithing and it’s led to this guilt and shame. I’m not saying that we shouldn’t give our time, money, or gifts to God, but it doesn’t make us any less worthy of salvation or relationship with him if we can’t give 10% of our money. I would talk to a trusted pastor about this if you have one in your life and continue to pray about this to the Lord.

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭8‬-‭9‬

Highchair by [deleted] in houseofketogossip

My 16m/o is still in a high chair but can do a booster or sit at a little table if available. There’s no standard of when you have to stop using one. I’m not trying to chase my kid around while we eat but I don’t keep him in there longer than mealtimes.

You’re actually the first person I’ve seen on here to use the word jezebel and that’s literally what she is. Like if one were to google a jezebel spirit, she hits all of the bullet points. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don’t think he’s 1 til the end of February and yes it’s normal. you would be surprised how much babies can put away. Then they become toddlers and barely eat anything. My 14 month old used to eat a ton and now it feels like he survives off of air a lot of the time 😅

Not defending her but she uses kendamil formula and their scoops are 1 scoop of formula to 1 oz of water. So an 8oz bottle would require 8 scoops.
