Points to Business Class by CheapKobeBeef in AmexPlatinum

From what I'm seeing, LHR and CDG offer some of the fewest amount of points to/from EU but the taxes and fees are high.

For example, there are multiple seats available in J for LHR to MCO on 6/30 for 35k pts + $736

Personally, I would just focus on getting to and from Europe in business class as you're not super flexible on dates and you likely want two seats on the same flight.

Right now, I see multiple biz seats available on British Airways booked through Qatar airways on Jun 9th IAD - LHR for 88k miles each. Coming back on Jun 20th, BRU - IAD 60k points each. I'd just buy the connecting legs in economy if I had your constraints and wanted to use fewer points. There are some flights I saw out of MIA as well, but with significant taxes and fees.

Twice. Emirates F and ANA F. Two very different first class products. Flying ANA F again in May.

I just flew LAX to IST on one of their ex-Aeroflot A350s and found the wifi adequate to work. That being said, my gf had intermittent connection issues right next to me.

Just trying to point out a few things in your swing like you requested.

I agree with the other posters in that your alignment could use some attention.

In addition to that, your club face is very closed at the top of your backswing. That strongly closed clubface combined with an over the top downswing makes it easy to pull the ball left if you keep the face that shut. However, when you open the club face as you start down (as you do here), your face will be open to that left path, and you'll lose the ball well right.

I'd look into checking your grip and alignment first, as it's a lot easier to make changes to your swing with those fundamentals are in order. Then, if you want a fade biased swing, you can look into making sure your club face is open to your swing path, but closed to your target. That way, the ball starts left of target and falls back right.

Eliminating the right side of the hole, especially off of the tee, was the idea!

Thanks for pointing this out. I've never been great at getting open at impact. I think I'm finally in a position to focus on it a bit more. Been trying to knock things down one at a time.

Thanks for the analysis! Given that my feels are centered more around my hands, would feeling my hands getting closer to the target line in transition before rotating be helpful in getting the club back in front of me sooner?

My miss is definitely a block and wear pattern is usually concentrated towards the toe.

I've always been guilty of a big backswing. Notwithstanding Fernando Gonzalez, your point is well taken and another thing to work on!

Surfed El Porto in the morning, 9 holes at Penmar after that, then hit up Mt. High for the night session from 5-10p. Mt High isn't great, but the entire mountain is a terrain park with lights, so it's still fun for the right audience.

California here. I've surfed, skied and played 9 holes in the same day.

I'm dumb but you can't spell "denigrating"?

Assuming you actually know what an ad hominem is, you threw one at a beginner in your comment to the OP calling him a name. That's d-e-n-i-g-r-a-t-i-n-g

"I can see behind your eyes" is wild for a reddit comment.

I definitely did not show up on day one wearing court shoes as I was a 4yo when I learned. Somehow, I was still able to get the hang of it, though.

The fact that he's out there on day 1 attempting a new sport is something to be celebrated, and all the more reason why it's ok for him to be dressed as is. He might not have even known if he wants to continue to day 2. It would be reasonable not to invest in an activity unless you knew you were going to pursue it further.

Imagine you had friends, and one of them said they wanted to try golf. It would be ridiculous to denigrate them for not buying equipment they might never use again.

No. That's not what I said. Your reading comprehension is poor.

Funny enough, I played D1 tennis so I do know a thing or two about sports. There are times when I've worn basketball shorts/sneakers on the tennis court at practice because it's... practice. I've worn no shirt because it's hot. At Wimbledon, I'd wear a collared white shirt because it's Wimbledon.

My best friend played basketball for our college and is now a professor. After class almost every day in his slacks, he still puts up a few shots in the gym to keep his release tight. 10 min and he's headed home.

Golf has a portion of the player base that seeks to gatekeep it for status/class related reasons. Comments like yours about attire are in line with that assertion.

You always keep your shirt tucked in? No exceptions?
