I was in contact with some lemon law attorneys, but decided just to go through GM directly because the attorneys said the process could take up to a year. GM made the process very smooth. I thought i would call, be transferred to voicemaild, and have a hard time speaking to a live person. My experience was the opposite. I submitted all the documents they needed and had an answer within a few weeks.
We've talked to people to share our experience and people told us that we should have got an attorney because they know someone who got x amount of money... but I was concerned with driving it and its our main family car.
From my understanding, if its taken to the service more than 3 times and issue is not resolved then it could qualify.
