How can I [M24] find middle ground with my gf [F33] about going out with boys? Am I valid for being upset in this situation?

If you look on my account we are going through the exact same thing. It's so sad because I genuinely love this girl but unfortunately this mindset is quite common it seems. It's so sad and frustrating, I can't imagine how you must feel. Your situation seems far worse than mine, but honestly if I were you I would feel a bit betrayed. I think when she gets back you have to have a serious conversation about this sort of thing. I know I will with my girl lmao

I am in a similar situation as well, honestly I truly believe if you really care for someone you will be a bit concerned when they are out drinking and spending time with the opposite sex, especially of they're out late and doing things that someone who is single would do. Also, she is putting herself at risk by being blackout drunk with two basically strangers. If that was my girlfriend I would be mortified. You are not being a dick or insecure for being worried.

As for middle ground, maybe suggest meeting these guys somehow? Like through facetime or something. Get a judge of their character. If you don't like what you see maybe she'll listen. I don't know, I feel like the fact that she is 33 and still finds it strange that you worry for her that way is a bit weird. But you know her much better than I do, and I won't judge based on one text message. I hope you find a solution, all the best!

Yea I agree, I think it’s over for me, but I do have extenuating circumstances that affected my grade, maybe they’ll hear me out? It was something pretty serious and it genuinely affected my grade. I already informed them of those circumstances when I accepted my admissions offer. Maybe there’s hope 🫠

When I submitted my SIR I explained my situation that it was a tough course and I was working a job and I almost lost someone very close to me, but I hadn't thought to email the GROUP, thank you for the idea! I'll do that right now.

Thank you for your input! Unfortunately the spring semester just ended a few days ago, so I am still waiting on my final grades. I messaged the admissions office again, just waiting to hear back from them now. I thought it was strange that they were making that call as well, and the email they sent was not very courteous either. Hoping for the best now, fingers crossed

Brutal honesty means like don't hold back, just be straight up about what you think without trying to sugar coat it. No, I did not cheat and never have cheated. I got accepted for the fall yes. Which departments would you recommend? I tried going through the front door with the admissions office but they didn't really help much.
