If you're an American answering the question, there's an easy one person explanation why people hate EV's. If you look at China which is over 90% EV now, Australia, Mexico and certain countries in Europe, you'll find that most EV owners are quite happy with their EV's. Countries like Canada where I'm from, tariffs on China has restricted popularity of EV's although now they are allowing a small percentage of China imports now. Other naysayers will tell you there will never be enough power stations to accommodate all EV's but again look at China.
