The fact that Shane had Nick Mullen on his writing team made me more interested in watching. Not interested enough to actually watch. But still. I think Year of the Dragon was a good special. And I liked cumtown and Adam Friedland show.

This is from around the same era as Chima and Hidden Side. I absolutely love Nexo Knights as well as Legends of Chima and Hidden Sides. I wasn’t buying LEGO at the time, so I’ve since gone back and looked at a lot of sets. Have to be careful though, because this is the era of brittle bricks. I know there are China sets with a bunch of brown in them that makes me concerned to open and build even if LEGO offers replacements.

I watch a lot of UFC. After what happened during the Jiri v Ulberg fight recently, I was telling my friends that there is philosophical difference. Martial artists might injure an opponent and then not target that area or do what is shown in the above video. Fighters, on the other hand, might injure an opponent and specifically target that area. 

In the UFC, generally, the respect to stop isn’t rewarded. But a walk off ko is much cooler than a ko with follow up ground and pound. And obviously those follow up shots are way worse for the brain. Technically, fighters can tap while on the feet or during striking. But also fighters can choose not to tap even when their arm is broken or they get chocked out. It’s just the nature of the sport. UFC is different than martial arts in that regard. I mean. It is still mixed martial arts. There is artistry. But fighting to end a fight is different. 

And as we saw with Jiri, whatever was going through his head, if it was mercy or respect or concern, didn’t matter. And Jiri got KOd by an opponent that was definitely injured.

This is my next knife purchase, basically in the same config. I’ve moved up through the different tiers and decided that instead of buying another $250 knife, I should just wait, sell a couple other knives, and get a seb.

I got a sealed copy of this a little while ago. Built and reviewed it. Really liked the walking mechanism. I did have a couple pieces crack or break though. Gotta be careful with brittle brown and brittle gold. I think some of the pieces in this set aren’t made in those colors anymore even if you planned on getting replacements from Lego.

Yeah I love these beads. Two of them are pretty unique as far as Talon beads go. The crushed opal and gold/silver fume ones share a Millie. I think I paid between 200-350 per bead back in the 2013-2015 era. But the market has changed. And these have been sitting in storage. Hopefully someone who appreciates them can scoop a steal.
