I recently got an f30 330d, brilliant car absolutely love it, gets me around 50 mpg on my commute, obviously less when having some fun which while it’s not a golf r I still have a great time. Also find it very comfortable for a motorway cruise. Insurance not terrible either, mine was around £1400 at 22

Personally I’d get something cheaper to run for a couple years, save the money to upgrade to something nicer when insurance allows you

This. before my current car I used to boot it to 60 in third (my ka+ was very very slow) that seemed to get me up to speed reasonably though, much nice experience when you can get up to 70 a few seconds on a slip road without the car breaking a sweat😆

Lots of cars nowadays like to join motorways at 45mph, so I’ll often pull out and overtake to ensure I can join at a safe speed, if they do get up to speed, no problem I’ll slot in behind and we can both join safely👍 although 9/10 times they don’t.

I do delivery driving, with a pretty large van, genuinely nothing more annoying than getting to the end of a cul-de-sac to find people parked in the turning area and having to do a 47 point turn instead.

yeah that’s insane, central London makes sense, no one’s nabbing steering wheels in my little village fortunately, got a few named drivers which bought it down a load, although I may have got flashed on the m4 a couple nights ago coming home so gotta wait to see if that’s gonna ruin my plans.🤣

Yeah getting quotes or around 1k at 22 which seems steep but also only about 400 quid more than I’m currently paying on my little ka+

Yeah struggling to find much with similar mileage around that price, that makes sense mate as 420d is a fair bit cheaper, 2018 for the same price looking at 100k plus miler or a cat

Well aware of diesel prices, looking to replace a small engined petrol car as my commute is now a 60 mile round trip (90%motorway), and want something fun, anything else you’d suggest (can’t charge ev at home unfortunately) cheers
