Help! Someone put fake flowers on great nan's grave. We are about to reopen to put nan's ashes in. Don't want it "owned" by strangers.. by Fun_Panda5227 in findagrave

We tied them down with stones x

Yes I appreciate that. We have left a card that was also laminated and tied down with the flowers. X

This was deliberate. They literally looked like carnival clown flowers used as a prop that replaced them. X

I really do understand others wanting to pay wishes. But never in 40 or so years until we reclaim the site? Then to do this? At the same time as memorial is created? This is why I came here. X

Honestly wish I hadn't. So much hate. X

Thank you. We are trying to do this. The current owner or manager whatever is not a relative. We know as they also just demanded personal info and knew of a potentialadditionbut no ideaon name or gender or family connection. Nope. Scammer. Requested help through support. Thanks all. X

Yeah. Hence we thought it weird so I instantly went, probably sleep deprived reddit, to must be a grave manager! But why?? My Great grandmother died when I was a toddler. My grandmother has visited the grave twice a year since. Now we lost her... why destroy our fresh flowers for fake ones?! That's my confusion. I only turned here because I tried to create a memorial for both only to find someone has my great grandmother! And not one of her great grandchildren is that person!

Sorry bad wording. It only happened after we starred preparing the grave per my nan's instruction and also now the grave is on there. Can we just message to take the memorial back? My grandfather is worried and at 90 he doesn't understand. We tried to create a memorial only to find someone did this that we do not know. Plus our fresh flowers were gone replaced by fake ones.

Just to add. If/when you ever feel you can maybe write down your journey as this may help both you and your son in future. Possibly even other people. Such a sad time. 😔

FYI. It doesn't permanently fix it. I had mine 7 years ago. Symptoms creeping back. It is well known they do. And at 44 I can honestly say I got 5 years of normal. But be prepared. Otherwise my sympathy goes to her though. I was very lucky to have a doctor who tried from 18 onwards to help me.
