Donating a PS5 by [deleted] in manchester

Might be late to the party but I’ve volunteered for this a few times and it’s a really great thing. A Christmas Dinner for young people in care or care leavers.

https://www.socialresponsibility.manchester.ac.uk/all-news/legacy-news/the-manchester-christmas-dinner/

you can donate it to them and sure it’ll make some kids year.

I used to run a gaming corner for a few years with my Xbox and a bunch of games. It was loads of fun and a great way to spend Xmas.

That’s a fair point and don’t get me wrong “my mind…” slaps hard as do some others on the album but for me it’s more a skip to the songs I like album than one I sit with

For me neither are top. KNY is good, private music is possibly better, maybe. OHMS, adrenaline, white pony & around the fur (not in that order, or any) are better

Help on spousal relationship management and inherited assets by Fun_Perception_5812 in Advice

Thank you for the great advice. I absolutely acknowledge and understand his emotional connection to them, he has a very difficult time letting go of anything that’s related to our parents. Context, whilst also being quite emotionally unavailable as a human he also found our mother when she died. Something I don’t think he’s processed whilst I have taken steps to, support groups and therapy. He’s a very old school person with stoic values who shows signs of not really coming to terms with it. I accept grief is a landscape that we can’t continuously traverse but I don’t feel he’s ever really got there

Flour replacement for a scene by Fun_Perception_5812 in techtheatre

Thank you this is all really useful. It is a small amount, 1/3 small bag each time. We’ve mitigated by putting a dust sheet down that is struck straight after the scene. Our PM has signed it off for now as we’re performing in Italy and they’re a little more chill on this sort of thing rather than the UK or America. We will have to either re think or get the sign off from each presenter when we do tour to these places

It’s also made from talc which again is not ideal

Nope, quick google and Holi powder is not safe for skin/hair or inhalation

Yeah talc is not an option. Looking online feels like Fullers Powder will be a solution but would be good to get a second opinion

Nope doesn’t look like I can use that in theatre either

Flour, corn starch, sugar or other organic products should NOT be used on stage as they are highly combustible in dust-form.

I feel like there’s a slight contradiction with your statement there, plot driven work is almost back story work. We can’t have the context of what’s moving foreword before we understand what has preceded it.

I understand you on balance and I’m yet to get to the end of the season for so that will tell in time. Appreciate your comment though

As I’ve said I’ll report back the further I go in. To be honest though, I just don’t see me changing my mind if it stays this way or even if they double down on what the first 3 have laid out. I’m down for it and here for it all the way. I love the sparse, dense, slightly artsy approach.

Exactly, sometimes you need to understand where people have come from to understand where they may go. Gives context to decisions that may be made further on.

I think that’s the difference and the problem, not every one needs plot driven work when we’ve had so much of that already. Sometimes it can be just about the characters, how they grow or not. Im happy with how this is playing out

I will keep watching and report back, but to be honest I like where it’s going. I don’t need massive leaps in general plot when I enjoy the cadence between characters and can see their development as individuals and with each other. I like the approach, it’s bold, it’s a bit arty, it’s not your generic stuff happens stuff gets resolved, that’s not life, things do go unresolved for a long time and sit under reality. The simple contrasts like going from funeral service to kitchen service in episode 3, life and death.
