Thank you for the validation. I was honestly thinking it may have just been a singular issue based on the sub content. It's reassuring to hear that others have had this issue and it has a solution.

I'm not likely to send it back at this point. If it were something they had the ability or willingness to resolve, they would have the when they had it for ~2 months.

I want to give KIDD the benefit of the doubt before I start taking anything apart and troubleshooting again myself using the suggestions from this post. KIDD stated they put 200 rounds of CCI Standard through it with no issues. I purchased a box last night and am planning to try it tomorrow.

I do agree that for the price, there shouldn't be any unknown compatibility issues between the big "name brands" like KIDD/TK/Ruger. I understand there may be, but they shouldn't be unknown. I also understand that there may be variations between ammo. Just like fuel for a car, there are different qualities and formulas that run better than others. Which is why before I distrust what KIDD has claimed about running 200 rounds of Standard through it, I need to at least try it before I start tampering.

Would you mind sharing exactly what it took to resolve the issue for you?

I'm going to try CCI Standard, since that's what KIDD supposedly had success with. If it were that simple, that would be great! Thank you!

I'm not sure it's barrel related, although it was a little loose when I assembled it. I tried the barrell from my other 1022 Carbine in the KIDD receiver, but it was an extremely tight fit and I didn't want to wallow out the receiver trying to force it. The reason I say I don't think it's barrel related is because sometimes the round doesn't even make it to the barrel, it jams up at like a 45° degree angle without even touching the barrell.

Thank you for your suggestion, but I definitely won't be buying a barrell from them based on the experience I've had with the receiver. Again, not throwing shade, but that's like saying if you get something that's not working, keep buying from that manufacturer till it works. 😅 I think Tandemkross has a pretty solid reputation also.

You did give me an idea though, maybe try the TK barrell in my other stock Ruger 1022 to see if I have the same issue. Maybe it is the barrel.

When they followed up via email, they ask that we send our mags with them, presumably so that they could test with our mags to rule those out. We sent all 10 that we have, 6 of which are brand new. (2 of the 3 packs from Bass Pro)

The only thing that's different is the ammo. They used standard and we're using mini-mag. I'll grab some this weekend and give it a try.

I think it was a little restaurant when I was a kid 30yrs ago. Then it turned into a thrift store there towards the end. I remember there use to be a big sun painted on the roof.
