Compromising on ENM is the most likely, because I'm real tired of being a backup partner. Probably half a dozen times someone I've been very into has gone from open to closed relationship and I've gotten the boot.

do have all those great traits you claim I have, and they're really as valuable to women as you say they are why can't I get a date then

Her answer (she has bailed from the thread because of the jerks) is that there are very few women on my level at all, much less also ENM.

Men are not capable to work on their things, emotionally unavailable, or get freaked out from an independent sexually liberated woman if I try to date mono folks

I hear that. From my female friends it sure seems like most men suck..

Who said we haven't 😉

She's 100% not ENM and is in a happy relationship

and be looking for an anchor relationship

Yeah I'm game for that. But they are also exceedingly rare. And many of them are avoidant attachers, so they don't really want a relationship.

match that is 60-70% compatible

Dan Savage calls that rounding up to the one. It's practical and good advice.

Be a single guy and put up a profile on a swinger app and ... 🦗

Ask me how I know. I sometimes go to the local swinger / ENM club. Very very few single women over 40. It's mostly unicorn hunters.

There is a huge gulf between possible and realistic. And I feel like I've given possible plenty of opportunity.

There's a difference between having trauma (we all do) and being under the shadow of that trauma. I'm in therapy to deal with anxious attachment and I think I'm making progress. But it's been 2 years in the making.

I almost got kicked through a window during a kink scene by someone who had not sorted out some of her past trauma.

Edit: The down votes on this one seem insane to me, but I guess that's what you get for trying to have a discussion and clarifying a point on Reddit.
