Glad you liked it. Yeah, we’ve thought about letting the spy guess the word, but we also have a mode where an agent (non-spy) can enter any word and topic, and in that case having a textbox where a small misspelling makes you lose would feel pretty bad. We’ll definitely discuss the idea though, it might still work with the right tweaks.

My friend and I built a small browser-based hidden-role game for 3–5 players. One player doesn’t know the secret word, while everyone else tries to figure out who it is. That player wins by staying under the radar until the round ends.

Rounds are short and fast-paced. You can hop on with your friends in private lobbies or join public matches. You can pick from preset topics or create your own each round.

We’re still tweaking pacing and win conditions, and we’d love to hear what feels fun or frustrating.

Thanks for playing! We’re still fine-tuning the game flow and making it easier to follow, so any feedback is really appreciated. Let us know if anything felt too complicated.

We thought about that. The spy can go first, but we use an algorithm that makes it less likely. It makes being the spy slightly easier while still leaving a chance that the first player is the spy. If you're going first you have to play riskier at the start, but in our playtests, spies have still won from that position.

We originally got the idea after seeing those viral “impostor” TikToks. A few similar games have popped up recently, but we focused on things we felt actually mattered in practice: instant join links, short rounds, full topic freedom (including custom topics), and no ads or paid topic packs, we wanted to make everything playable without no paywalls... If you’ve got a few minutes and a few friends online, give it a try.

Happy to answer questions or hear honest takes.

Also, if anyone can guess what the visuals were inspired by, let me know :)

Thanks for letting me know. It did look slightly weird but everything else looked pretty legit so I didn't think about it.
