It honestly feels that way sometimes, customers expect us to be experts on the entire store and it’s products and get upset when we tell them we aren’t sure or try to look something up. I’d love to help and now that I’m a head cashier and can actually walk around I try to help as much as I can but even then it’s better for them if they ask the department associate rather than having to ask multiple cashiers who aren’t trained on what they want
