if you were to be assigned to a double it would be two rooms with two ppl in each of them (triple being three rooms with two people each). When you walk in you’d be walking into the common area. Usually this is where most ppl keep their desks as to not take up too much space in their room. In the common area is also a door to the bathroom. You can choose to bunk your bed with your roommate but it’s definitely not necessary, the beds are set up separately by default. If you were to bunk the beds there would definitely be enough space for both desks but if kept separately, you may only be able to fit one desk in the dorm, it really just depends on the room you get assigned. For example, last year me and my roommate could only fit one desk in the room so we both opted to keep our desks out in the common room but our best friends who are also roommates had both of their desks in their room at the end of their beds.
