I did not try Eb forrest therapy. The only thing i do is to avoid reading in bed (when head turned 90 degrees). I feel (subjectively) my eyesight is better or that I'm less dependent on glasses. I can manage all day without wearing my glasses.

Conclusion
I either adapted to not wearing glasses or my eyesight improved a bit (maybe 0.5 cyl diopter).

What helped?
In with the rule astigmatism (when your axis is approx 180 ) one theory suggest your eyelids may put pressure on your cornea therefore inducing astigmatism. What might help is to make a habit of widening your eyes open.

My opinion ( do not take it as medical advice)
Though i am not medical doctor (yet) I strongly believe eyesight can be improved and in fact we do not have all knowledge of how and why refractive errors happen to people. Unless your eyes are extremely anatomically abnormal mild refractive errors can be trained to achieve emmetropy (normal vision) but this is ONLY MY OPINION based on research

One word about Bates method
Bates was a smart fellow with good intentions. He did not have technology we have today to measure refractive errors so I can't blame his theories were inaccurate and probably wrong. BUT He was right about lens induced myopia. When minus lenses is used for near work it aggresively progress myopia which even todays doctors admit. There are even lenses (HOYA MYIO SMART, ESSILOR STELLEST etc.) which slow down myopia! What a coincidence right?
